GM Performance cold air intake

A used intake can be tricky with tuning if the OEM code is single-use. Many end up paying a tuner directly instead of relying on the factory flash. Another option that avoids the code issue is running something like the Evil Energy cold air intake kit. It comes with a universal tuning guide and doesn’t require a one-time-use OEM code, so the install and tune are much simpler.

Most aftermarket CAI dont require a tune. Never heard of evil Energy CAI.

Most modern GM ECMs need to have either a factory flash or an unlocked ECM and tune, the days of slapping a flash into the ECM on GM vehicles is long gone.

And yes most vehicles don't need a flash for a simple CAI, the one GM offered was a nice touch but not needed.

Been running a Cold Air Induction intake on my '25 6.2L and no issues, has the exact same intake and catch can on my 21 Tahoe 6.2L and never had an issue with then either. Removed it when I traded and luckily it fit the '25 1500 exactly the same.

Is there any induction noise from these that can be heard? I haven't put an intake on any of my vehicles in years.

Not really, and i do install them on most of my vehicles.
I wasn't impressed when I had this one installed on my 6.2L Tahoe and only put it on the truck because I still had it.

Some engines they make the engine sound more aggressive, not so much on the 6.2L.
