Fox 2.5 with DSC adjusters and Camburg control arms

I think there a few mud flap delete kits out there that help and I also saw Wescott Design fender liner pull back plate that seems to help a lot.

Got my Cognito kit on...

I did the Cognito kit:

I went with the Method 315 Polished w/gloss black lip and stainless bolts. They are 17x8.5 zero offset and the tires are Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x12.5 Everything went smooth and it went out great! It netted an inch of lift and with he bigger tires its sits approximately 1.5 to 2" higher in the front. Overall I still have a rake of approximately 1.5" I might do a 1/2" smaller block in the rear or try the smallest Lower coilover spacer that some lifts use to gain another 1/2 to 1" up front. So far my first impression of the kit is good! I like a smooth well dampened ride like I had with my 2500 RAM on a full Thuren 2.5 King set up. The stock ride was soft and comfortable IMO however it was very boaty / floaty and seemed to bounce around a lot which is gone now with this kit! This AT4 rides very similar to my RAM now except the rear seems a tad firmer than I would have expected it to be. I will run the rear as is until I figure out what I am going to do as far as getting it a tad more level. At that point if the rear is still as firm as it is I may start looking around for something. I have been trying to find more information on the deaver mini pack but cant seem to fond much. Anyway I wanted to give an update and wanted ya'll to know that this kit is a great option for those that like the ride on the softer side. I would put it between a full King set up and maybe the Bilstein 6112 kit. As far as the tire fitment goes, I did have some rubbing to deal with and I am still working on it. For now I have the front mudflaps off and the fender liner zip tied back and don't have any rubbing. I do have the Westcott Design fender liner pull back bracket on order.

As part of planning my modifications, I've spoken to a few 4x4 shops and Deaver about reworking the rear suspension. They've concluded that they will improve ride quality for an unweighted bed / no towing, but if you plan to haul and/or tow, they are not the best option. For me I have a light wedge camper and drawer storage system that leaves 550lbs in the truck at all times, so the mini-leaf pack doesn't fit my use case. Both companies are very helpful - I'd encourage calling them with what you have and what you're looking to achieve to see what they say.

Thx I will look into that. Sounds like with your set up you should be good with my set up. When the OG wheels and tires along with all the stock suspension parts in the bed of the truck it rode very nice and was almost level with still a tinny rake.

Unfortunately this is the only other pic I have with that tire and wheel setup View attachment 32727
I second Jake on the Fox 2.5. I find them pretty bad on road. Rough and sloppy. Off-road there ok.. I even sent the out to get retuned by accutune. Still not impressed. DSc adjusters will not make the truvk
Ride nice. Front and rear shocks don’t work well together. They are not balanced attitude . Feels like the front and rear of the truck does two different reactions over the same bump. Horrible on small bump compliance. Bad for a daily. I found for the shocks to be ok you have to hit stuff fast and hard… most daily’s/ trail
Rigs/ fire roads don’t encounter that… My rough country bs shocks did way better on my old Silverado then these. Highly disappointed. Don’t waste your money on Fox. I’ve also Rand bil 5100,s bil 6112’s, eibach, oe. All suck. Fox I’m opinion worst out of the group. But I have dirt king 2.0 MT TRAILRUNNER kit on order. These have really good videos and testing. Good daily driver reviews in the Toyota and Silverado/ Sierra world. I will be swaping them out for these.

Elka makes their shocks for dirtking

What’s everyone’s settings on the knobs? I’m running mine factory but curious on what everyone is running.

I completely disagree about the Fox 2.5 DSC shocks. I've had them on the truck for about 5k miles now and absolutely love them. Very planted and controlled on the road, no nose-dive breaking, amazing off-road. Keep in mind i also I have 35" tires on 17" wheels, which helps soften the ride regardless of suspension. Would 100% recommend. I feel this is the way the truck should have come stock.
