I went diesel because I tow a pontoon boat and live at the top of a steep hill with a stop sign at the bottom. I have no road to get revs up before tackling the hill, so decided diesel torque was needed. So far it rocks!!!
Damn, what was the issue with the 3.0 here? Sounds like GMC has their hands full with the 6.2 and now hearing this with the 3.0I have a 3.0 Duramax in 2025 Yukon XL AT4 Ultimate. Purchased in August just because it has air suspension which would lower some to help wife get from wheel chair to truck. The 3.0 was just a bonus, I thought! Already replaced it at 7k miles. Took dealer 45 days to get a new one from GMC.
Fuel economy is good but I don't trust it for long trips now that the first engine went bad.
Thrust bearing is failing on the LZ0. Happens mostly before 15k miles.Damn, what was the issue with the 3.0 here? Sounds like GMC has their hands full with the 6.2 and now hearing this with the 3.0
