Carbyte DFM Disabler 2025 Vehicle Beta Testing

I've had my Carbyte now for about 3 months or so and I really like it. I haven't noticed any material mileage differences at all. I also have thoroughly enjoyed the auto stop delete. Most of my driving is local as I live in town and run here or there. So that's definitely been a plus. I just got a new engine in early Feb of this year, so I wanted to make sure I did as much as I could to avoid a recurrence, be it from incorrectly manufactured parts or DFM related terrorism. This helps me on that front. Nice work Carbyte! I was so impressed with it that I bought my future son in law one as well.

No, I'm not a spokesperson and my daddy doesn't own the company. HAHA! I just wanted to give some support to a company who is making a quality product and keeping it affordable for average rubes like myself.

I’ve lost a few mpgs but it’s also related to the borla exhaust and slightly bigger tires. I appreciate not having to hit the start/stop button anymore and this is a must if you have an exhaust. I never knew dfm was so busy before. Especially the coasting shutoff.

Here's a brief update on the Carbyte: Three months have passed since the last post, and it's still running smoothly with no issues. Everything is functioning as expected. I'm very happy with the Carbyte DFM disabler.

I was looking to purchase one of these today on Amazon. but I saw this reviewers post. If their statement is true, I won't be purchasing one because I love having my truck in Sport mode all the time, cold starts are awesome . Can someone verify this statement? Quote from Amazon reviewer ". It looks to reset your driving mode back to 'Normal' every time you stop/start the vehicle (ie. you select 'Sport' mode, drive around, turn vehicle off, start vehicle, drive mode will be in 'Normal' mode). "

Is that not the default OEM behavior? My '23 and '25 both start out in Normal mode unless I shut off the engine in tow/haul.

Sorry, Denali Ultimate owners gets persistent Driver mode. But am wondering if this devices forces a reset to Normal. Guess I should not ask in a AT4 forum, but this appears to be the only good location for info about this device. :)

Just wanted to follow up, someone in another forum answered me and said it does NOT affect the mode your in after turning on and off the truck in a Denali Ultimate. Thanks guys!

@gemarsh is correct - you won't need new hardware. The new vehicle compatibility will be added via firmware updates.

Unfortunately the current disabler firmware will not function on a 2025 Yukon Denali, even partially. However, you can still use Carbyte as a scan tool using the OBDLink app (iOS/android).
So, is this still the case? No Yukon Denali 2025 functionality yet?

I haven't tested in awhile or checked if there is a firmware update yet.

If it matters, since my last post in January in this thread, GM pushed some kind of software update for the 2025 Yukon Denali.
If you had the Carbyte installed, the update would keep failing.
I didn't figure out why the update failed until my 3rd attempt and I unplugged it

Hello all . New member , new owner of a Yukon at4 ultimate, looking to disable the time bomb feature 😂 for our vehicle.

So my GM update kept failing, if I remove the CARBYTE and get the GM update will the Carbyte still keep all its functions or will it be a scanner only like the Tahoes?

Any other "25 owners get the GM update and still have the DFM and auto start stop turned off?

In my 25' Yukon, it kept failing to update also. Once removed, the update work.
As posted earlier, 25 doesnt work correctly

Earlier this year our company launched Carbyte, the only OBD-based DFM disabler that works on the latest GM trucks and SUVs.

As the previous Carbyte giveaway we hosted on this forum provided us with valuable feedback, we’d like to host another giveaway to help us further improve Carbyte.

As 2025 models are being released, we are looking for help from the users in this forum in verifying Carbyte’s compatibility with the newest vehicles. As part of this beta test, we're giving away 5 Carbyte devices free of charge to the first 5 eligible users who comment on this post.

Eligibility criteria:
  1. Be a registered user of this forum at the time of this post.
  2. Own one of the following 2025 vehicles with a 5.3L or 6.2L engine:
    1. Sierra 1500 AT4
    2. Sierra 1500 AT4X
    3. Yukon AT4
    4. Yukon XL AT4
  3. Shipping address in the United States.
  4. Promise to provide truthful feedback about your experience and be willing to work out any kinks Carbyte might have with the new model on this thread.

To claim your device, please comment on this thread with your initial impressions of Carbyte (to keep things fair and transparent). Then, PM me your shipping information (name, address, email, phone number).

Kind regards,
