MODS: this is not spam, gemarsh can verify.

Thank you for having me on this forum. Late last month, our company launched a DFM disabler that as far as I'm aware is the only OBD-based device that works on the latest GM trucks and SUVs:

Since it's a new product with a unique set of features, we would love to get feedback from the experts on this forum. To that end, we're giving away 5 Carbyte devices free of charge to the first 5 eligible users who comment on this post.

Eligibility criteria:
  1. Be a registered user of this forum at the time of this post.
  2. Own a compatible vehicle (preferably, a 2021 or later).
  3. Shipping address in the United States.
  4. Promise to provide truthful feedback on this thread about your experience with Carbyte.
To claim your device, please comment on this thread with your initial impressions of Carbyte (to keep things fair and transparent). Then, PM me your shipping information (name, address, email, phone number).

Kind regards,

Welcome. I have no experience with Carbyte. However I'm always looking to work with aftermarket companies. Currently working with Diode Dynamics on a new product, and Godz MFG on fabricating a light bar mount for our trucks. Currently driving a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4x AEV with the 6.2l.

I’m interested. I have had a range DFM disabled before, but I like the app integration and OBD scan capabilities of this device.

Welcome to the forums I think it's cool what you're doing and good business savvy. Good luck to you I can't use the item so I won't participate.

I would like to be one of the 5. This product has interested me since I heard about it.

My truck is a 2023 AT4X 6.2 ltr and your product looks like it would take care of two of the 3 biggest gripes I have with the truck (the third being the piano key button dropping the tailgate - strongly dislike that button/feature).

I sent you my info via PM.

I am interested in this as well. The added functionality of the OBD scanner and app seems very intuitive and is like nothing else I have seen before. Added bonus is plugging into the OBD port for easy removal! I drive a 2024 Sierra AT4 with a 6.2L.

I recently installed it on my 23 1500 AT4X with the 6.2. It works as advertised. I’m giving it a 👍
Thank you for the kind words!

Was there anything confusing about the Carbyte product listing, initial setup, operation of the product, or anything else? In other words, if you look at your experience in retrospect, what could we change to make it better?

This sounds like a really cool thing and I am interested in it as I am not crazy about the start/stop feature.

I would love to check this out . I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 5.3L with 10 speed transmission. Will this work with the 10 speed?

Thanks

This is the simplest install I’ve ever done. The only thing you might add to the setup/operation is to address the two other lights, OBD (Red) and LINK (Blue). Since they we not mentioned, I was left assuming they we supposed to blink also.
