Auxiliary lighting switches

I’ve never heard of plusnuts. I have rivenuts, pretty sure the tool is too large to even fit inside the fender area.
Two different ways to do the same thing. Agree with gemarsh, plusnuts flare out a little more and I have found them more forgiving.

My rivnut tool is too short for plusnuts so instead I use this little tool: https://a.co/d/40zuRDC

Thats excellent information. I had issues with rivnuts

After seeing your build you suckered me into getting the auxbeam switches lol. I’m trying to wire it all up but I’m having trouble figuring out where to fuse tap so I can power to the switches when the truck is in ACC mode. What fuse did you tap into? If possible, could you share a pic please?
Here you go bud.

Interesting. So you just tapped into misc ignition fuse. I take it you weren’t able to find the secret ACC fuse either lol.

Taped into the #40 and it only powers on when I start the truck. Works perfectly.

Right when you power on the truck. I was trying to find one that will turn the switch on when it’s in ACC mode. Can’t seem to find one so #40 will have to do.

F28 in the passenger side fuse panel does that. Provides power in both ACC and engine on. I used that for my panel for that reason. If you need the wire under the hood just pass it through the fire wall to the engine bay through the pop out on the passenger side fire wall.

Yeah I thought about tapping into that one but my truck doesn’t have that fuse for whatever reason.
