AT4X wheels/tires setup question

I put Toyo MT’s on factory wheels, no lift. They are 285/70/18. No cutting, no rubbing, no issues. I to looked at the 295/70/18’s. According to Toyo site. The diff in the to is the 285 is 34.1 tall and 11.4 wide (inflated size) The 295 is .4 taller in both aspects. The width seems the be the limiting factor as they can rub at full turn lock. I figured the .4 was not worth the risk- but there are folks here who say it works. I did “flip” the rear block to level the truck Good Luck!View attachment 3369
That sounds simple. Was it?

Sometimes I look at it and think it’s perfect and other times I feel like they should be a little bigger. It’s those times where I ask myself if the extra weight of a slightly larger tire would be worth it.
Looks good. I’d be happy with it!

Thanks. I am OCD about my trucks and it’s gotta be perfect so I am torn on these. I know these are probably the right choice mechanically and for fuel efficiency etc. Don’t get me wrong they do look good and my truck still fits in the garage (3/8 clearance) I think they just need to be a wee bit bigger to fill these body styles out and look right.

So the 295/70/18 tire with stock OEM AEV wheels won't fit? 1.75 Readylift installed
Hi, did you install level?
If so, please provide some pics and confirm fitment. About to purchase either 285 or 295 for my new AEV and any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Looks perfect!! Which flip kit did you install?

I did not use any kit or aftermarket stuff. Simply removed the block on rear axle. By flipping, I mean to say the block and u bolt are flipped over such that the block is doing nothing. However, it is “stored” where I know where it is if I ever want to use it again.

Nitto Recon Grappler comes in a 295/70r18 that is not an LT tire (SL maybe?) and is a lot lighter than most LT rated tires

Thanks. That is what I suspected but I saw some kits that have different U-bolts and brackets like the IHC from American Trucks. Have you hooked up a camper or anything heavy on hitch and had any drop down issues after?

Hey guys - I'm picking up a 2025 at4x AEV edition this weekend and have the opportunity to switch out the tires at purchase. I'm looking to go with the Nitto Recon Grapplers mentioned above because they are much closer to OEM weight and mpg matters (going with the diesel). I prefer to stick with the stock AEV rim at this point. I do not plan on a level (not yet anyways). Can anyone chime in on the Recon's in the size 295/70 and non-LT rated tire mentioned above on a stock aev rim? Just want to make sure I have clearance on the UCA. I believe it's going to be very tight. Willing to do a small hub centric spacer if needed to so if anyone has advice there, I would appreciate it. FYI - I have looked quite a bit and tried search and could not find it so figured throwing it out there someone might know. Thanks

Clarification - This is for a 1500 Sierra. Forgot to mention
