AT4X wheels/tires setup question

I put Toyo MT’s on factory wheels, no lift. They are 285/70/18. No cutting, no rubbing, no issues. I to looked at the 295/70/18’s. According to Toyo site. The diff in the to is the 285 is 34.1 tall and 11.4 wide (inflated size) The 295 is .4 taller in both aspects. The width seems the be the limiting factor as they can rub at full turn lock. I figured the .4 was not worth the risk- but there are folks here who say it works. I did “flip” the rear block to level the truck Good Luck!

People are running them without an issue. I went 285/70/18 and wish I would have went 295/70/18
I know this is an old thread but I am about to put 285/70/18s on tomorrow. Why do you wish for the bigger size? Just wondering. Thanks.

Just for a little more tire width the 285/70/18 still look good and perform well. I just feel like the 295 would be even better and what I will go with when mine wear down

Thank you for responding. Do you have a pic by chance? Also I read the 295 was 10lb heavier than 285s. I also like the wider look but fuel mileage also plays a part.

Well I had the 285/70/18s put on today and I know exactly what you mean….

Sometimes I look at it and think it’s perfect and other times I feel like they should be a little bigger. It’s those times where I ask myself if the extra weight of a slightly larger tire would be worth it.
