Anyone towing a car on a open car hauler trailer?

Hey roy826ex- your thread cost meπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Showed my wife your vette pic and she got the bug of wanting another one. How a truck thread can lead to a carπŸ€”. Merry Christmas to her. Thought you might like the color!

LOL, I did it the other way around, bought a 2024 Corvette first, then bought the 2025 ATX4. Vet for my birthday, and AT4X for Christmas!

I tow my enclosed trailer with my Chevelle in it 2000 miles canada to Phoenix every winter used my last 2 AT4 6.2 with Sumo Springs/ Timbrens & equalizer hitch you will have no problem lots of power
Use manual mode and tow in about 8th around 2-2200 for my truck
Keeping it in a gear that keeps it at 2 k approx stops trans shifting up and down building heat unless your in really flat land with mo wind 8 th will be the gear IMO
Weight is one thing but WIND is the killer I tow at 70 mph get 9-11 mpg dependent on wind
I had annopen noticed no difference when I went to heavier enclosed with a nose cone

I towed my 53' Suburban from MI to TN with my 6.2 AT4. Mine has the towing technology. It makes trailering very slick. I spend a great deal of time researching the correct drop hitch to provide an appropriate trailer level. I also like how in towing mode the gauge flips from Voltage to Transmission temp.

My trailer is a 20' with 2 axle trailer brakes.

Every day is a birthday! Several years ago in 2007 I remember saying to my wife: "Honey, I'm heading out to the dealer in PA to pick up a car, would you like to join me?" Yeah that came as a surprise to her; earlier that day I'd just paid $67K cash for a Mercedes I'd ordered several months prior. I think she was fine with it (can't remember the expletives she used :) ); she joined me on the ride there and back. It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
