I've decided to temporarily abandon this idea since installing high powered short to medium distance amber fog lamps on the front bumper. These are not ditch lights or anything, they clearly provide almost 180 degrees of amber lighting. I've used them in pitch dark and they are great, although my primary intention of installing them was to bring attention to presence of this huge truck particularly for pedestrians and oncoming traffic, without blinding them, particularly during hazardous conditions.
