Amber DRLs

Does anyone know how or if there is a way to change our DRLs to amber? It seems itd be an easy hack since we have amber turn signals on same DRLs. I know my previous Ram just needed a TazorDT to plug in and it would do it.

Anyways any insight into this would be helpful. Thanks.

To add more input to this. The prefresh 22s and earlier were not able to simply make the turn signals into DRLs as they were completely different circuits/lights, so you had to do a crazy bake off to do the internal light switch. Which double sucked because it was so permanent and not very bright during day time.

BUT, the new lights share the same LED light and definitely seem to just need a program hack. At the very least, I beleive you can easily do a wire harnes hack if one can get ahold of the wiring schematics...

Unless he just put the flashers on and took the pics and had some good timing ? Lol. Just a guess. I may or may not have don’t that before ;-). But I would def interested in this hack as well!

If anyone actually finds a way to make them stay amber it would be great to know, I try to be creative and take pictures when there flashing on mine since it looks significantly better in my opinion

I would think it should be fairly easy to modify the wiring harness. A schematic is probably not needed either, just cut into the harness, use a meter to determine what lead gets power when and wire it up the way you want.

That may render turn signals redundant. You would need an electronic circuit/relay to disable full on (amber DRL) to enable each turn signal. Sure can be done unless there is a software hack. I have not looked into it however the idea does interest me.

One would need to try out if the same amber lights would work with inputs from DRL and the turn signal. It is an interesting concept. Who's going to try it first?
