I am super excited to get my pieces back from the paint/body shop. I think they did an excellent job. At first blush, painted looks more professional and clean. They also made quick work fixing the one blemish I previously noted.
Surprised your greenhouse is dormant!

I have my Prinsu cab and shell racks assembled. Cab rack requires some drilling and I don't want to mess things up but $1200 to finish the install (12 holes and compression nuts) and drive 4 hours north is a bit crazy. I am triple checking the details and will tackle it myself . The shell rack is easy enough just waiting for the rhino track to arrive.

Assembled the shell and mocked up the rack. I'm still waiting on rhino tracks but package tracker says they will be here this week. Also need to drill for back up lights, camera, and ClearVU camera washer. I had a bit of an issue with the marine sealant. A little goes a long way and I had a mess as it squished out the seams. Acetone helps but still needs some elbow grease. Used a ratchet strap to pull the sides into alignment. I'm getting so close to seeing how this looks mounted :-)

Oh crap!! In my haste, last night I drilled the back holes for my rear lights. Fast forward to this morning and I noticed they are not even. I don't want to turn my shell into Swiss cheese. Is my mistake that noticeable?

Uhhh, yeah, to me. Maybe not to some.

The OCD in me sees it but I don't want to drill any more holes. I compromised and put the camera washer in

to take up some space. I'm nearing completion and its the little things that are jacking me up. Even after drilling pilot holes to finish mounting the lights I had two screws break off.

First set of Rhino rails arrived 54" and they were a bit small and damaged in shipping. Ordered a 72" set which is a bit long but I'll cut them down to the correct size. While I wait I installed my cab Prinsu rack. What a PITA. Nothing went right and it took me a lot longer than I expected. Install is not perfect but the flaws are hidden.

I know these pics don't look much different from the last but I have the rhino tracks and roof rack installed. All I have left is install the lower seal. I have a few self induced errors but I'll live with it  . Hoping I got the height correct with the cab.

I have the Stappl side Molle panels I need to install (on the outside bedsides) with their cap raise seal before I can put my shell in place and call this project done. Not long now

Still can't wait for the completed look and function test.

I honestly don't know why someone would pay 3-14K for a truck topper. Things have gotten way out of control. If you have the time to wait and patience to assemble yourself this may be the way to go.

Busy Sunday. Finally got the shell and fender panels on. I still need to finish the wiring and butyl tape some of the corners. I had a RTT on order (also from china) but that vendor was giving me the run around so I cancelled that order. I'll try to find one locally
