2024 2500/3500 Build and order status

My ETA came and went, and it’s still not here - still sitting at the Jack Cooper lot in Flint, 50 miles away. Dealer was unable to get a new ETA, so I called JC dispatch today. Gave them the VIN and the guy I spoke with said he’d put a ‘hot’ notice on it so the yard would put it on a trailer for delivery. Said to call back next Tuesday if it’s still not here. Looks like another long trip this weekend without the new ride.

And to top it all off, no fish (one bite, hook didn’t set

)

I'm on my 6th ETA window. Most current window is today (9/28) to the 1st of October.
I was promised the truck week of the 11th but that didn't happen clearly.

Hopefully we get them this weekend.

I feel y'alls pain. However, I just got word this morning that mine arrived at the dealer. Next step, drive 9 hours tomorrow to get her.

Just got the call my truck was finally delivered to dealership! I get to pick it up later this afternoon.

Thanks! They were some very slim odds considering how we all have been in the in-transit nightmare for weeks.

Alright, the drive home was good; gave me plenty of time to get familiar with her. Here are a few pics of the old and new. Also a couple with some vent visors & bed cover (though you can't see it) installed.

Beautiful truck!

I spoke with the transport company last week, they said to call them by today if it still wasn’t delivered. Well, still not delivered. Spoke with them today, and now the excuse was that their drivers have spent the past several days pulling trucks from the plant rather than delivering them due to impending threat of Flint getting shutdown during the strike. This is a point I can understand, if true.

So, dispatch said that mine should get delivered in the next day or so since their drivers were going to go back to delivering today. Was told to callagain on Thursday if it still wasn’t delivered.

BTW - this conversation took place while I was at the gas station outside of the transport lot, which was conveniently only a half mile out of my way for a work trip today. And while I was on the phone, I watched two trailers of new trucks leaving to be delivered somewhere else (mostly Chevy, but one Denali ultimate and a few SLTs)

Oh my goodness, that is pure torture. I'm hoping the next time you hear from the dealer, it's with good news!
