2024 2500/3500 Build and order status

I got word today my Truck is at the local train yard getting unloaded either today or tomorrow. Then it will be put on a truck and brought to the dealership.
Hopefully by weekend I have the truck finally per the dealership.
Excellent news! Mine left Flint via rail on the 12th enroute to Kansas City. It arrived in KC on the 17th and now I await loading onto a truck for delivery to my dealer (200 miles). We are hopeful for this Friday, but time will tell. Exciting times for us all.

Sounds like are both playing the waiting on getting off the Rail Car to the transport truck game. Lets hope we both get them by Friday at the latest.

How successful has anyone been in contacting the actual transport company? I received notice yesterday that mine was moved from the GM plant to off-site yard (Jack Cooper transport based on the address). Notice came from VINView by FreightVerify.

Also, since it now off-site, the GM chat - whether bot or person - says it is out of their hands. Does anyone know if that means the strike won’t impact delivery even if Flint shuts down?

My dealer is only 60 miles from the plant so I know it will be delivered by truck, not rail. I could probably drive by and look at it when I take a lunch break - so close, yet so far away.

My 2022 HD at4 sat in "in transit" status for appx 4 months. I got an email address, asked about my truck, and received this response. My truck was in my driveway a week later. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Email address and last name below is edited to protect the innocent.

Good Morning,

From what I can see, it appears that your vehicle completed the GFX process on 2/16, it was unloadable prior to that date.

I do see that it is loadable now and has been moved from storage lot to shippable lot.

I am unable to give ETA’s but can reach out to Flint logistics team to see if we can do anything to get this vehicle moving.

I can’t guarantee anything but am looking into.

I should note that my dealer is just over 4 hrs from flint, MI. so no rail involved. Rail is going to be another bottleneck

Thanks. Just got off the phone with the dealer. Scheduled for delivery (from Precision, not JC) for this weekend. Assuming that’s accurate, I should have the keys by mid-next week.

I’ll hold off on reaching out to Precision directly, unless it doesn’t show up in the next week.

Just signed for my truck so it is officially mine. However, it is still not here yet as it is waiting for transport truck to bring it.
Dealership will be able to immediately put sold on it and lock it up so no one else can get into or drive it.

so are you making payments as of now? Insurance? What happens if it falls off the truck on the way to the dealership? who is paying for it? How long would be an acceptable delay?

I'm not bashing or second-guessing your decision, but just curious about what happens

No payments are being made until after delivery plus 45 days per new vehicle purchase rules in my state.

The dealership put a future day of next friday on the contracts so nothing would trigger payments.

The truck is literally an hour from the dealership and they were told it would be here by this weekend.

Insurance will not officially kick in till I have the keys per my insurance company.

On a side note I still have my trade in they took in. They told me to hold on to it so I could have a vehicle to use to get there when it comes.

Placed my order for a 24 3500 at4 hd gasser in June and took delivery this past week, exactly 3 months from when I ordered it. Anyone have any good suggestions with replacing the factory radio antenna with some thing shorter?

I have used Ronin 50 cal bullet antennas on my previous trucks and had no issues. They have other shorty ones too.
