I ordered mine back on January 12, but still hasn't been accepted. Are you able to remove the high clearance steps and still get the sunroof/power sliding back glass? I couldn't care less about the steps, especially if that will delay my order!

Ordered in September - base std bed w/ 3.0 in sterling metallic, Accepted on December 1st, Built 1/30, Arrived at my dealership on 2/5.

HOWEVER...I found the exact truck I was looking for at Laura GMC in St Louis on the lot but it had the premium package (I ordered just the base). It was actually priced under my base order from September so I cancelled my order which just happened to show up last weekend and I'm picking up the truck from St Louis this weekend...more features, less money that what I ordered so its worth the 5hr drive.

If you've been waiting its worth starting to look on the lots at some of the bigger dealerships, some have inventory especially of the 3.0

I excluded the steps from my order originally and yes I do have the sunroof. According to my dealer my build date is the last week of Feb

Does any one know what status emails GMC auto sends out?

So far I've received 3 emails from GMC (Built in Ft Wayne headed to Central Texas).

12/7 Factory accepted order
1/16 Factory scheduled for production
1/27 Vehicle Built and has left factory.

Is there an email once it's loaded onto a rail car and begins moving or is the next email when it hits the distribution center closest to my area and is waiting to be loaded on truck to dealer?

Like everyone else I'm hypothesizing if I'm waiting 2+ more months while it sits in an overflow lot in Indiana or if it's showing up some time this month.
When did you put your order in?

I've ordered the 6.2, premium package, nearly every option possible and I'm just afraid I will continue to get hit with shortages. I couldn't care less about the high clearance steps but I want the upgraded audio, so I'm stuck with the premium package. My dealer tells me to be patient.. Anyone having luck with 6.2's getting allocated?

have you tried talking to more than one dealer? I tried ordering with one for 2 months then managed to get my whole order in with one phone call and an email with another. The first dealer kept offering me other stuff and trying to change the whole thing to sell something sooner. Also lower volume dealers have fewer allocations and lower priority at the factory.

I haven't so far.. I put down a $1k deposit on it a little over a month ago, and based on what I've read, some are taking a similar amount of time. Their dealership got one picked up last week, but unfortunately it wasn't mine!

I ordered my 2023 in August, didn’t get one email. Called each Monday for check up/status since they didn’t call or update me. Got notice in late October that production was approximately 12/12, got call on 12/13 that it was being shipped. I got mine before Christmas (12/22). All that to say, who knows; their communications are terrible at GM in general.

I ordered mine back in July and it was just built at the end of January and is in transit. The biggest issue is the 6.2L that has caused delays. Hopefully, the dealer will honor the original price since MSRP has increased ~$3K since I ordered.

My ship has come in!! GMC is sponsoring the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bayhill. Our dealer called, let me know there is a promo-truck going to API and it is nearly a perfect match to my build. It has everything less the Tech Package (heads-up display, etc...) and the larger side-mirrors. Made the deal!! WooHoo! The only bad part is that 10K people will be crawling all over it for 5 days. I am not OCD but starting to feel like I need a shower already.

Scotty: be glad you're at 3100... I've been at 1100 now for over a year (3 separate orders). Mine's pretty much identical to yours except with 18's and in Dynamic Blue. It boggles my mind why GM even offers the 6.2 at this point if they're unwilling to put them in AT4's. Heck, there are SLT's out there with 6.2's and I can't seem to get an allocation on mine. My original order was January of 22, transitioned to a 23, and then I bailed on that dealer and moved on to a volume dealer and have been sitting there for over 5 months now. Guess being GM faithful for 30 years makes me a fool. They'll continue to crank out retail stock orders and let them sit on the lots when sold units that are price protected just languish in allocation hell.
They moved me to 3300 last week but I am going to buy a stock unit they have arriving in a few weeks.
So hopefully y'all waiting for a 6.2 L will be getting some blessings soon.
