2023 AT4 Engine Crankshaft gone 4500 miles

Well went to dealership today to check progress on the truck. The engine has been shipped and due to arrive this week. Don’t know how I feel after seeing my four month old truck pealed open.
In your third picture that shows the failed con rod bearings, it almost looks like the bearings piled up which might indicate a tolerance problem rather than lubrication but just a SWAG. Nice that they are shipping a replacement engine. They may ship this one back to the factory for analysis.
Thanks for the update.
Hope your up and runnig soon.(y)

Just askin- for y’all that have had one or more failed engines,
1. Were they stock at failure?
2. Did you most of time allow auto-shutoff to work or disable it?
Thanks

My engine had a build date of January 2022. It didn’t have the auto shut off enabled or DFM enabled from the factory. It failed at 8 months with 8800 miles.

Update
The engine arrived at dealership yesterday.
The say week to two to replace. Lets just hope all goes well.

It’s looking like 2 weeks for the installation of mine too. They were miss an o-ring for one of my injectors. Apparently someone couldn’t count to 8. Good luck with getting your truck back asap.

I hate reading this. To think I gave away a low mileage 16 Denali HD Duramax for this 6.2L hand grenade. And I always thought I already owned the HD LML grenade with the CP4 injection pump. Boy was I wrong, shoulda kept the HD truck.
