2022 Refresh Order Experience

Ordered 3/25
Accepted 5/5
Built 7/12

I get very little info out of GM or my dealer on where or what is going on with my AT4 order. Anyone have any useful updates or information with a similar build date. I chatted GM on my Phone and PC this morning at the same time and received different event codes from each rep 4200 and 4300. How is that possible?

The good news it was built, is it complete? If yes, you may receive it in about a month. I never used the GM info source and relied on the dealer who had very accurate information but checked in with him once a month or usually when he saw a change in code. Hopefully you will get a call from the dealer that says it has arrived. 🙂

My truck was built almost exactly 10 weeks ago. GM chat is ridiculously inconsistent. I’ve been told it’s shipped on 4 different occasions. Waiting for semiconductors, awaiting inspection, ready and waiting for the shipping company, ect ect ect. My dealership told me today that there is no longer an annotation with my order stating “delay”, but he was also very honest about how GM does not give them a lot of information and the information they pull up isn’t always accurate. It frustrates them because they can’t forward accurate information to their customers. It wasn’t great before and now amplified with the shortage issues. I’ve been inquiring on GM chat every Wednesday and my dealer every 2-3 weeks. I’m probably done with the GM chat from here on out.

Ordered 4/23
Order accepted 6/22
TPW 8/01
Built 8/11
In transit from Roanoke, IN to Twins Oaks, PA via rail 8/16
First of all I’m glad you are getting your truck so soon that’s awesome. This though is what is so infuriating about this process. So many of us reserved in Oct ordered in Jan and still have nothing. My truck had been built for 11 weeks and can’t even get a straight answer from GM.

Ordered 3/16
Built 6/1
Still waiting. Event code 4300 it’s been 22 weeks so far since order
That seems like an extremely long time. Mine is due at the dealership on 8/31, and was built around the middle of July. The Dealer said it could still be 2 weeks after the expected delivery date. Has your sales agent looked into it? Someone I know had to pay the dealer $500 to pick up the truck because drivers did not want to deliver to the location since they get paid by the load and not distance.

Yeah I know but seems there are a few people who are also in the same boat with extreme wait times. Ordered from the same dealer another guy ordered from a couple weeks before me and he is in same boat. Contacted my sales rep last week said still waiting for chips. I find it interesting people who put in orders AFTER me with builds AFTER mine and have already received it or have a delivery date. My sales rep takes days to get back doesn’t answer calls or text and is always short. Pretty much sucks

I ordered mine on 3/4 and received the vin on 7/15. As of today its sitting at 4300. Waiting on a carrier according to my dealer. He tried to sell me a Denali today and even offered to work on the numbers because of the wait.

Yeah pretty much we are all screwed no words so pissed
I have been asking myself at what point do I order a 2023 and refuse the 22 order when it does finally show up? The 22 is essentially a year old the day it shows up (assuming another month or two) at premium price and has been sitting in a parking lot in Indiana for god knows how long. And who’s to say the process for the 23 is any different? Oh and then let’s throw in a ~$1k+ charge for a forced onstar subscription. Not a good look GM

My dealership has started adding Elo car GPS to all the vehicles on their website. This is after I put my order in of course, and I never agreed to this. I also never agreed to this 3 year onstar service bs. I can tell you right now I will absolutely not pay more then the agreed price when I ordered my truck. I don't care and I will just go without.

I told my dealership to cancel the 2022 and I will order a 2023. By the time the 2022 gets delivered (if it does) it will be a year old. The new 3.0 with the increase in power pushed me over the top.
