2022 Refresh Order Experience

Has anyone been able to claim price protection from their dealer? I have a signed build order for a specific price, but my dealer said the final price will depend upon what the MSRP is when it comes in. There have been a few price increases since I ordered in March and I want to make sure I pay what we agreed to.
I was given price protection on my order, as long as it is a 22 build.

Just got off the phone with the dealer. Said about 2 weeks for my truck to be here. Going to start checking out what interest rates are out there with credit unions. How much down are you guys putting? I'm going with 10k.
My dealer won't let me bring in outside finance inorder to sell me the truck at msrp. He first say 5 percent rate and then said 4 percent. I found until 7-5 gmc is having 3.49 up to 72 months. That's what I locked in with. (Getting $250 off by doing so) my credit union would of been below 3 easy but ill live with the 3.49 and maybe refinance later.

I am putting a chunk down. Roughly 50k down just to have a small monthly payment but that's just me. I'm OCD about high monthly bills.

With 50K down seems you could just do 0% for 36 months on the rest and it would still be a low payment!

As long as your deal put the order in as sold you should be protected.

This is my plan between my current trade in and some cash. I’ll take the rest in free money for three years.

The difference with using there money is like 3k over the 72 months. Definitely thought about the 0 percent. Buying a at4x so unfortunately still financing 30k roughly. Ultimately will pay it off using double payments and knock that interest down to under 1500-2k range but also nice to have that low payment incase this economy does tank (I am a commission based manager so nothing is guaranteed)

I put $22.5k down only because I wanted to keep my payments lower 🤷🏻‍♂️

My dealer also said I can put max of $30K down if they are going to sell it for MSRP. They want me to finance at least 40K. I sold a paid off honda accord for wayyy more than it would have been worth 2 years ago so taking that cash plus about 10K to the table on it.

Happy to see someone mentioned above 3.49 from GM up to 72 months!

I’m not putting any cash down outside of my my trade in. My business is going to make the monthly payments so it’s a nice write off. Section 179 baybee!!!

Long time lurker... got the call from my dealer yesterday that GM cancelled my order. Had a reservation from 1/26/22, just never got allocated. Contacted GM who said I would still be price protected on a '22 if I didn't want an AT4 or didn't want the 6.2. Uh... no, so I'll be ordering a 23 when the books open.

I got her today. 84 months at 3.99% with PNC
