Bose System Subwoofer?

The Bose system in the AT4X and Denali Ultimate sounds like garbage with no subwoofer. If GMC wants its customer’s to pay for a premium for these trucks they also need to provide a premium sound system. IMO the current system is not on par with other premium vehicles.

Thought that had subs in them?

Have a ram right now with alpine system and it’s decent for how many speakers it is. Waiting on trading it in for Sierra at4x diesel. Hoping the higher end Bose system will be better or at least on par with the Harmon/kardon in the rams
I have 2023 At4x and it still sucks.

Ive got a 2020 AT4 1500.
Bose sounds great. Super clear, bass. It bumps to be honest, I was suprised

I can't honestly say the sound on my 23 AT4X is better or worse than my 2020 AT4 was. The sound is good enough for me, most of my music is stuff I download, and usually it is smaller files, so the music isn't high fidelity. But it sounds fine to me.

I have a streaming kit set up in my truck, which allows full Android to be used through apple carplay. The kit cost me $200, and I love it. My phone auto bluetooth connects to that streaming device, which is hard wired like an android auto or apple carplay device with the mini usb C plug. I noticed the audio sounded a bit clearer through that device than directly from my phone bluetoothed to my truck. Dunno why, but not complaining.

As far as bass, it seems fine to me, but I am not looking for molar rumbling bass. I do have my bass set almost to the highest level, as I usually do on my vehicles, but it is fine for me. My ears aren't the best after 30+ years of being a contractor (never worn ear protection as much as I should have), so my hearing probably isn't as keen or sensitive as others may have. So maybe that is part of why it sounds fine to me - I can't discern subtle differences well. If I think to notice, I always have a ringing in my ears (mostly my right ear). I have had hearing tests done several times about 3 years ago, and while it wasn't great, the test said it also wasn't really terrible either, but definitely degraded somewhat. This was in an enclosed hearing test cubicle, wearing headphones FWIW.

Does my 2022.5 AT4 w/ Bose system have a factory sub? It sure doesn’t sound like it. One of my ONLY gripes about this truck is sound system! The Harmon Kardon in the OTHER 3 letter name manufacturer, is AMAZING! Hell, even the Alpine (mid tier) system sounded better!
2023 is same. terrible considering the trim level. I wont give up my rear under seat storage for it so I am interested to see what others come up with here to address it.

Check out Trickbass.com. A single JL sub with an amp rack and storage.

I feel that the bass for a 6in subwoofer is perfect. I also think that everyone expects the bass feeling/ sound to come from the back of the truck since that’s where the subwoofer is usually placed in all vehicles. Since the subwoofer is placed underneath the center console in these trucks the bass sound/feeling is at the driver/ front passengers legs. This causing the bass to feel weak and abnormal.

I traded in a 2018 SLT with the Bose system and it had decent bass. If you turned up a song with some bass (over half volume) it would vibrate the mirrors and sounded good. I just got my 2024 AT4 and there IS no bass. Even after turning it up on the EQ and turning volume up to 3/4 there's nothing. Either they seriously downgraded the "sub" or mine isn't even hooked up. I don't want to rattle chests or have someone 3 cars away inside their car hearing me, but I need some kind of bass. Pretty disappointing. I'm looking into options (which is how I found this thread).

My 2021 has a Bose system and I feel that it has really good bass.

Y'all...quit chasing your tails and read my thread. I've paid the tuition for this school. My build thread answers all the questions in this thread so far. And the factory "sub" is a 5.25" speaker in an enclosure "tuned" for 40 hz. Pay particular attention to posts 11 and 25. That's where I measured the stock Blose "performance" and it's inadequacy as well as only swapping speakers out. It's really worth the read.
