What did you do to your AT4 today?

What a setup. I’m envious!
👍 thanks. For inspiration and lots of help, I owe it to adventurer @Johnv76 since we both have the same brand of tonneau covers plus a lot of valuable help and guidance from @gemarsh. I just took it a wee bit further 😀. The remaining recovery hardware/attachment accessories such as snatch block, 6 ton shackles, Factor 55 Hitch Link etc. are stored under rear seat storage along with front winch remote, cables etc. It’s all there, now I just need the experience to use it.

Three recalls, two software and one tailgate switch replacement. All done and although I feel no difference, it’s good to know it’s done.

Unplugged the battery tender after 5 days in the Cayman Islands for 25th anniversary. Now I get to drive her down to Austin for work and then back home all in same day. Man....I have a lot of reading/catching up to do with all the posts!

Slick way of storing the jack base!
For symmetry, I would have preferred to store jack base in the center, however it would interfere with lid closing rod/lock/mechanism. Two rivett nuts and a couple of matching wing bolts did the trick to secure it in place. It permits easy removal of jack base and can slide off to the right from under traction boards and jack.

Installed one 200lb gas strut on one side only since these were 20” long as opposed to 17” ones installed earlier (couldn’t get 200lbs in 17”). One longer and one standard size helps retain original opening angle unless I devise another restraining method to restrict opening further than necessary.
Also secured base stand for the hi-lift jack in the space between the jack and recovery boards.
And finally the shovel and shovel guard in place.

Thanks to a link @Johnv76 sent, I was able to order 17" 200lbs struts which are now installed and theres no danger of the heavy lid with the gear load below, slamming now. I kept the others as a backup in case one fails, time will show.

Already put 5k miles on it since I've owned it. Absolutely loving the fuel mileage. All the filter monitors were reset when I bought it, so I'm "assuming" the dealer changed all the filters. For my piece of mind though, I think I'm gonna pick up and oil and fuel filter and switch them out so I know it's done and I have a baseline going forward. Wheel and tire package will hopefully be delivered Friday. Then I can start on builidng my on board air setup for airbags for next camping season.
