What did you do to your AT4 today?

Today I installed a rubber bet matt - Bakflip MX4 - AVS Aeroskin 2 deflector and Weather tech window deflectors.

Found out the rear tail light assemblies are sealed and have no bulbs so I can’t install the Putco reverse lights.

huh? Is yours much different than my 2500HD AT4X AEV? I had the dealer install my Putco lights since it involved removing the tailgate etc. and is wired to OEM wiring from what I could make out. Having said that I had to take the truck back to the dealer for them to correct the Putco install, a part of it was interfering with tailgate opening and making a loud clicking noise; once corrected, it is perfect.

I took it as he couldn't install the putco 360 lumacore bulbs as the at4 has sealed led housings.

Yeah, they are some expensive replacement bulbs. I haven't seen them lit up in person, but for over Ben Franklin, they better be bright!
Never even looked at changing bulbs except I changed license plate bulbs to LED. Between OEM reverse lights, 60" Putco tailgate light bar and Baja Designs fog lamps on the rear bumper, I have enough light behind the truck at night to perform open heart surgery in the wild

Those oem license plate bulbs are anemic as hell, when everything else is 5-6000k led.

Think it's having to do with some jurisdictions have a clear/white maximum lumens output in the rear of a vehicle, except for traveling in reverse.

A friend of mine has those in his Silverado and they are bright so I thought it would be a good option, until I looked closed at the taillight assemblies

I like the look of the Putco rear light blade, does it add better light when backing up? Taking the tailgate off would suck but I’m game.

Just ordered new mud flaps from Rallyamor - Red Logo (MF100-UR-BLK-RD) should have them this weekend.

I installed my Putco Freedom Blade a few weeks ago. It puts out a ton more light! I did remove the tailgate to complete the install...just to make it easier. It wasn't that bad...I had the wife help me remove and put on some saw horses while I did the install. I did however get a bad motherboard, which Putco immediately rectified and sent me out a new one to swap out. I also like the fact that I set the blade light to flash when I apply the brakes...hopefully it helps me from being rear ended!

Shame my plug and play purchased from and installed by GMC does not have remote control features of the Putco Freedom Blade

I didn't buy the remote either...I'm too cheap. All you do is ground out the orange wire. Just ground it to the setting you want...then wait til it moves to the next program and ground wire until it's set to the setting you want. If I recall correctly, the 1st setting is the startup/shutdown sequence, then brake light setting, & finally turn sequence.

That's a feature of the Putco Freedom Blade, mine is the plain vanilla one.

Thanks for the information I’m going to look at those and will most likely pull the trigger. I’m also looking at getting brake caliper covers I think they look sharp and keep the wheels clean.

Great idea! Red covers for a black truck or black for black? I'd install only if it did not need wheel spacers.
