My towing will be limited to using my son in law's open trailer to move logs and maybe someday moving my son's 71 Bronco out of my garage when he finally welds on the new floor panels sitting in the cab. My primary use of the truck is hauling logs from area trails that I have a fellow woodworker slab them up on his sawmill. Below are photos of the Winch setup I installed. I used welded 1/4" thick steel angles with a Harbor Freight Winch mount to build a frame in the bed, securing it to both sides and the bed headboard.
The bed steel is pretty flimsy (18 gauge?) so I bolted the Winch frame through the three eyeholes to a steel channel that spans the full width of the bed. I may have to figure out how to attach this channel to the frame if I notice any flexing when I use the 12,000 lb winch (overkill for 600 lb logs) but we'll see.
