Tow mirrors on a half ton

I consider the 360 cameras to be relatively new to the truck world. It would be easy for me to believe 4 years ago the 360 camera was simply not a feature on the tow mirrors.
😁 It's been 4 years already! 🫨

My '22 HD Denali(built in '21) has 360 view. I am pretty confident I saw advertising back in '20 that 360 view was a selling point for HD's.

2500s had the option but in late 2022 I remember doing custom builds figuring out how I wanted the truck and I wanted tow mirrors but the surround view camera option wasn’t allowed with the tow mirrors.

Do you have the window sticker? It will call out what was deleted with a negative dollar amount, shown as a credit.

Your truck might not have been optioned with all the packages either.
Don’t have the window sticker. Purchased used. Still live the truck and a upgrade over my 2019 Ram that I traded on the AT4!

If your truck was built in the USA, it will have a 1 as the first digit of your VIN.

If'n that is true, insert your VIN after the equals sign (=) and paste into your favorite browser. Choose download, not open. It will populate a pdf of your Monroney Sticker (window)...

ETA= Sorry, I can figure out how to make link, not hot. Type your vin after equal sign and remove the space between "h" and "ttps" and copy and paste.

Okay so I read through here but did not definitively hear if tow mirrors can be added and still retain the 360 cameras? I do like the idea of the tow mirrors but do not want to loose the function of the 360 cameras. Thx!

I’ve been told on here and by the dealer if they are not installed from the factory the 360 camera won’t work right…
I have a 2022 1500 and have also been told that if the truck doesn't get ordered from the factory with tow mirrors, the lane departure system and blind spot monitoring will not function properly and you will get code errors. I was also told by my dealership that they are not able to re-program the truck to allow it.
Which is a shame because I put tow mirrors on my 2014 1500 and loved the mirrors, especially with the amount of towing that I do for work. If I would have known that it wasn't possible after the fact, it would have influenced my purchase more.
If anyone has any further info or correction to this, I would love to be corrected and know it is possible

Tow mirrors for life! My '15 1500 came with the tow mirrors stock as its a Max Tow.

Bummer you need to have them factory built.
Haven’t seen a half ton at4 with them around my neck of the woods. Wish the dealers would option a few that way!

The problem was you couldn’t have the 360 cameras and the tow mirrors on the same build for the 1500s. I’m not sure if that’s still the case.

AI says it's possible. Need to be oem GM mirrors and in some cases, it could involve physically swapping your existing cameras from the stock sport mirrors tonthe new tow mirrors. I remember looking into this about a year ago and finding different results, so its nice to see it can be done. At least on my '21.

It quite possible. My AT4 has the tow mirrors and all the camera angles, which is good since the entire truck is a big blindspot.
