Tonneau cover

I put a Revolver X4S on my '24 2500 a few weeks ago and it has rained hard several times and only a few drops of water get in by the tail gate. When rolled up it takes up very little room at the front of the bed maybe less than 8". It does not block the top half of the rear window so you have full visibility. I had an encore tri fold on my previous truck but it blocked the front 3rd of the bed when folded up.

This is mostly from another thread on crossrail toolboxes: I also put a Revolver X4S on my '22 AT4 HD, rolls up with no cannister to collect debris. Most importantly it rolls up on TOP so it fits two of Stanley 19 in height, 24 gal. mobile tool boxes, about $110 each from Home Depot. They are NOT the big 50 gal ones you usually see in stores. See photo, they fit below the bed rails. Below rail height also means they don't interfere with gooseneck. For me, a big advantage is they have wheels, so these 200lbs of tools & junk can be relocated in the bed easily, or rolled off (with ramps) to completely clear the bed in 2 minutes (for like dropping in a yard of dirt). Rolling them off also provides some seating area at camp.

Forgot to add that, as Wyoming sez, good visibility out the back even when rolled up. Even with the rolling toolboxes, the bed cam easily sees the gooseneck ball for hookup. I had an Extang trifold that blocks too much when folded up.

ive talked to a few people who have said they see improved fuel economy (2-3 mph) after adding it on. I may add it to mine after getting it

I think Mythbusters did a test of this and found that it was a myth. I believe the best mileage they got was with tailgate up and no cover, as sold from manufacturer.

Anyone have experience with the Diamondback cover?

I had one. Loved it when I loved it and hated it every once in a while. Great for locking expensive things in back of truck and keeping them dry. Very inconvenient when wanting to haul bulky stuff. I highly recommend the brand but I won't be getting another one. Mainly because my situation is changed and I dont travel as a family of 4 anymore since my kids are grown adults now.

TFL Truck did one not to long ago and the tonneau covered truck got slightly better fuel millage. My take is buy a tonneau for security, to keep stuff dry, or because you like the look. If it improves you mpg, great, if not no loss that's not what I bought it for.

Just installed a TruXedo Century CT cover on my AT4. Love the look, not seen any improvement in mpg, but I've only had it on for a couple of days

Doesn't happen often here, but in addition to security & rain, I get a cover to keep the bed from filling up w/ snow!! Happened once, and that was enough.

Now that I think of it just a couple months after I bought my 2015 GMC I put wider tires on it and the Diamondback cover at about the same time. I took a serious hit on MPG for the next 9 years. I will never know what happened but it baffled me for the entire time.
