What's new

Thoughts on this set up for softer ride-

New shocks and tire pressure. The 5100 will fit the front without modifications

What do you all think about the Rancho RS9000XL? I plan on getting these and installing on my 2026 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate, putting them on the softest setting, or close to softest. I've read a lot of reviews on those and on forums folks say that it makes their trucks drive like an old Cadillac/Oldsmobile (couch on wheels). I kinda like that kind of ride. and was hoping I could get it closer to that, as the stock Rancho shocks on my truck kinda suck; they are very jouncy.

i had a set of Fox 2.0 reservoirs custom tuned from accutune. they were still pretty stiff. they said they were the softest shocks they offered for these trucks. they said the only way to get a softer shock would be to get a rancho. they said the trucks have such a high spring rate, once a shock has dampening added to it, it makes for a stiff ride. they said the ranchos basically have no dampening and would produce the softest ride.

i can tell you, when i reinstalled the stock ranchos on the truck before i sold it, the ride was definitely softer
