SuspensionMAXX Leveling Kit Install

I was very surprised how little of a rake my 2024 at has, compared to my previous 2019. I like a rake so when I tow its not reversed / sagging. My 2019 had at least 1.5" rake and the new truck has maybe 3/4 -1" . My camper puts 2" of sag on the new truck.... I have air bags ordered for heavier loads) and will be installing the RC 3" /1.5" kit. I will keep about 1.5" rake after the kit is installed... I ran the RC kit on my 2019 and no complaints. I also have a Trailready winch bumper on order and will adjust the suspension after its installed..

Just installed the SuspensionMAXX 1”-3” adjustable stage 1 leveling system for my new 2024 GMC 2500 HD AT4. The truck sat 2+” low in the front.

The kit includes:
- Differential spacers/skidplate spacers for proper driveline/CV joint angles
- Shock Extensions to reuse factory shocks
- Maxx Cam 9 patented adjustable torsion bar keys
- Maxx travel upper control arms

I am very impressed with the quality of all components, and even more so with the exceptional installation support. The upper control arms and the torsion bar keys were relatively easy to install. The keys require a special unloading/installation tool that I also purchased from SuspensionMAXX.

The spacers are difficult to install due to extremely tight spaces. I purchased metric flex-head wrenches and a flex-head ratchet in the required sizes that proved to be essential for the install.

I was able to retain the factory 20” wheels and the LT275/65R20 tires. I plan on upgrading to 35’s on the factory wheels in the future, which this kit will allow.

I was able to adjust the keys perfectly to achieve a totally level stance front-to-back and side-to-side.

Extremely pleased with the outcome!
After a year, what are your thoughts? Thinking of putting the Suspension Maxx setup on my 24 AT4. I like the fact that I don't have to cut out the bump stops with these as opposed to the Cognito and Kryptonite. How's it holding up?

you don't have to cut the service perch with either Kryptonite or Cognito tubular arms.

That's helpful, thank you. I also noticed the Suspension Maxx has Dif spacers that some of the other options don't have. Is that a big value add when it comes to overall alignment?

I don't understand why some people get bent out of shape or upset because someone levels their truck. Seen it a couple of times. Not your truck, so why do you care what they do to it? Find something else to be pissed off about...something important. Someone else rig isn't of your concern.

That said, I have a leveling kit in my 2023 Sierra 1500 AT4 and also have Air Lift bags in the back. This way, I can always be on the level and maintain the handling I want. Just hauled my 5,500lb Ice Castle 2 hours away for camping with the family. Zero issues, zero regrets. All leveled.

Do the Suspension Maxx kits come with ball joints? I would assume they do, but no mention of them and the pictures of their upper control arms do not show them in the picture, they’re also not in a parts list or in a general picture showing all the components. Weird.

Yes, I believe they do. I have been debating many level kits. I just can't understand what's so special about the Suspension Maxx torsion bar keys. I see that have an insert, but how is that helping anything? I can't see/comprehend how they are more adjustable than any other key as the key bolt is what turns the key, adding or reducing the torsional pressure on the bars. If someone can enlighten me, please do!

I'm assuming that, depending on which way you rotate the inserts within the keys, you are adding more twist to the bars. Adding a little more twist with the inserts gives you additional t-bar twist before you drive the bolts in? It seems like a good way to get a rougher ride to me.

You'd be better off getting the Kryptonite Stage 3 kit with Fox Shocks and add diff drop spacers.

Haha, man you watching me? Just ordered Kryptonite stage 3 (but with Bilsteins), Suspension Maxx diff drop kit, SM 2" block kit, and new wheels/tires this morning. I already have the Kryptonite ultimate kit in my garage. My buddy is coming over to weld the gusset plate once I tear everything out.

I have a week stay-cation planned mid-Oct. Cannot wait!

This is a great upgrade. Southern Tire has a really good review for this on YouTube. Definitely my next move as well. Great looking truck.
