Surprise results after disabling DFM on my AT4X 6.2

Would Carbyte this still work if I have Amp Extreme steps plugged into the OBD port already? Would I need a splitter ?

I’ve been using the L9 trick which I assume replicates all of Carbytes actions . However it is getting tiresome flipping through the paddles every time I start the Car.
Curious myself. On my 2020 3500 I was able to use a splitter for amp steps and a Banks Idash.

I don’t know how to put the link on here. This is the splitter I used. Works great.

It is mind blowing that we have to band together over here in our little cult to share our ideas and processes to disable or bypass all the electronic "planet saving" BS that disrupts the natural operation of our vehicles. The Auto Stop and DFM are HUGE FACTORS in the attrition levels of these modern engines. I had a 2019 with all that crap on it. PRAISE THE HEAVENS ABOVE that the 6.6 gassers don't have this crap on them. I've said it in other threads on the forum, but I'll share it here too. I didn't buy this big truck for it's planet saving fuel mileage! Keep hammering away at this stuff. The world depends on us! GOD BLESS THE USA

Common sense is back tomorrow, 1/20 at 12:01pm. I drive in L9 to disable DFM and Auto Stop/Start!

Exactly, who buys a truck for mileage! 👍
Nobody, but who gives up mileage for no good reason? Not saying there isn't a good reason here but I chuckle when someone says they dont care. I would think we all care, even if it's just to maximize range. It seems that the OP is happy with his decision to disable.

The thing is my 6.6 gas in a 2,000 lb heavier truck without factory DFM/start stop does better in the mileage game.

Hello,i recently purvhsdrf a 2024 at4x hd 6.6 gasser, so you are saying these do not have all that stuff on them?

Will using the Carbyte product void any warranty coverage? I could see GM citing this as a scapegoat not to cover a repair.

Just got the Carbyte going and for those that have updated the unit did you just go with the latest update version or did you download them in order???
If you check the unit with the main company app (OBDLink) it will show you if any updates are needed. I checked my unit yesterday and it showed I had the latest firmware which was something dot 4 that was release in late 2024.

The unit’s app (Carbyte) still shows all the available firmware but I think the main app is the one to use.

*EDIT* Worst case would be just down load them all in sequential order til to get to the most current version. It should take all of 15 minutes to accomplish.
