I'd like to hear from anyone having done a front and rear DSSVs to Bilstein 5100s swap on a 2024 HD 2500 AT4X. Its a shame DSSVs are not adjustable except from factory.
Hi, I completed a lift/level kit with Kryptonite upper control arms /blocks/keys and Bilstein 5100s. I installed new tires (Toyo Open Country M/T's) and had my local GM dealer complete an alignment. My truck was horrible to drive after the lift/level, steering was terrible on the highway and the ride was harsh. I just completed the AT4X suspension upgrade with all the parts except I kept the Kryptonite upper control arms. I put back in the factory keys and had the truck aligned again, same dealer, my truck rides better than the stock AT4 pre lift/level and steers like when the truck was new. The DSSE shocks in the rear are the same length as 5100s, the front DSSE shocks are 1-1.5 inch longer than the 5100s. I don't think the Bilstein's are long enough to use with the AT4X ,just my opinion. I now have a ton of almost new suspension parts in a bin in my garage from 2023 AT4 (12,000 miles). If you are going to do the upgrade get the DSSE's (I found mine on ebay for $1500).I'd like to hear from anyone having done a front and rear DSSVs to Bilstein 5100s swap on a 2024 HD 2500 AT4X. Do you think the DSSE’s would fit with the factory 2500 AT4 suspension? Or was the new uppers a must have?Hi, I completed a lift/level kit with Kryptonite upper control arms /blocks/keys and Bilstein 5100s.
