Spot Mirrors

That's a good point about the passenger side being helpful pulling a trailer. I pull a 16' enclosed job trailer nearly daily, and would like to have a better view behind it. Have considered getting the factory trailering mirrors, but don't like the looks of them. Plus the extra cost. The spot mirror on both the driver and passenger side might be the answer. For $25 to $30, not an expensive gamble to take on the spot mirrors. I don't particularly like the looks of them... but the benefit would outweigh that.

I was pretty zoomed in to show how it fits but from a few feet away it really blends in pretty well imho. The base being clear helps that too.

Yeah, it's really not bad at all. I was already considering spot mirrors, but your post has made me really consider ordering the ones you linked. Thanks!

If you really wanted. You can possibly have these added to your truck I believe. It’s an option from factory.

The “really wanted” meant I bet this is expensive after the fact when it’s a $650 add to the truck build.
And if you know GM- they sticklers for saying you can’t add a factory option it didn’t come with.

I've considered them in the past and even on this current 23 AT4X. But the money and hassle isn't worth it to me. I haven't looked into the added cost, but guessing it could cost a grand to buy those 3/4 ton Sierra mirrors and install them on the 1/2 ton AT4X. I could do the install myself most likely (not for sure with all the electronics these trucks have now, who knows, maybe the DCM needs a reflash or whatever, I honestly have no clue).

Heck, somewhere in my garage full of tools and building materials, I do have towing mirrors one can hook on to the outside of stock mirrors. Not only are they ugly, they didn't work very well and were a PITA to take on and off. Again, not worth the hassle for me.

Spot mirrors is the best option IMO. Cheap, easy to install, if one doesn't like them, easy to take off.
