GM should have put a switch for all 4 windows down where the dead switch is. Doesn’t make sense to just have a switch on the dash that doesn’t do anything.About the only difference between them is the rear axle lock switch on the X. I think.

My truck has a switch that puts all 4 windows down, wish it would work up also.GM should have put a switch for all 4 windows down where the dead switch is. Doesn’t make sense to just have a switch on the dash that doesn’t do anything.
Thats correct; it only works for down.My truck has a switch that puts all 4 windows down, wish it would work up also.
Yeah on my 24’ 2500 it doesn’t lolMy truck has a switch that puts all 4 windows down, wish it would work up also.
Yes I looked again it is the rear axle lock and the, as someone else stated four window down (ridiculous you cannot put four window up, i'm assuming in today's mixed up world it's a liability issue).About the only difference between them is the rear axle lock switch on the X. I think.
And I spend a whole afternoon cleaning it after I doPlease pardon my dust I do take her off road as often as I can
I feel the same way about so many things….I want the pre-2000's back!
Yeah, I would like that more but the plastic could break. Maybe someone will do that eventually. Luckily the oem shifter arm isn't too expensive a guinea pig.Rather than being shortened if it could be curved down about and 1” to 1-5” would be nice.
Hey I just noticed you had or have a CT-70, when I was a kid my cousin got a CT70 manual clutch 4 speed, then a friend got a CT70 with the 3 speed no clutch. After about a year of working with my Dad he bought me a SL70 as he had a SL350. It was great being a kid in the 70’s and living in the country where the woods, power lines could be freely ridden. Now all of this land is fenced or either developed.I feel the same way about so many things….
We’re now on our FOURTH refrigerator-freezer, and our third washer-dryer since 2001 . All of the units we’ve had to replace were “top-rated” by reviewers. All were expensive. None were economically repairable.
Meanwhile, the 1970s freezer and refrigerator-freezer in the garage continue to work just fine. (Most new fridges are not “garage-rated”, by the way. Apparently, the temperature swings in garages are too hard on modern units.)My mom’s washer and dryer were over fifty years old when she passed.
So many of the American manufacturing changes have been forced on us in the name of environmental protection, but this BS in the appliance world is filling landfills with paint, plastics, rubber, and other objectionables. That’s all joining the mass of toxics from old Prius batteries and similar components. Once again, we’re being penny wise and pound foolish. It’s how we roll these days.
Amen. I upgraded from a Honda 50 minitrail to a CT70-H (4 speed with clutch) in 1972, but several friends has SL-70s. (They were much cooler than the CTs, because the SLs looked like smaller versions of real motorcycles. Cool colors too.) Then, in late 74 I got an XR-75 and joined the cool club. 50+ years later I’m still riding. I ride an R1200GSA and I bought a couple Honda Monkeys out of nostalgia for my first Honda 50. I gave a 1982 CT70 I was going to restore to a friend who is now riding it around his neighborhood. They last forever — and I still have a red CT70H!)Hey I just noticed you had or have a CT-70, when I was a kid my cousin got a CT70 manual clutch 4 speed, then a friend got a CT70 with the 3 speed no clutch. When I 1st seen the picture of the CT-70 I thought it was a Trail 90. I was talking to my 2 year older brother, I knew he had a 175 but he called it a CL scrambler.Amen. First, I registered for this site by finding your post.
Second, this was the first thing I told my wife I didnt like about my truck when I got it home lol.
Third, Im very interested in this. Im really curious why we cant bend the shifter about an inch farther down. I was thinking about buying a spare one and taking it to a machine shop to ask how they would go about adjusting it farther down.
