Off-Road High-Clearance Assist Steps Install

one thing to consider is that the high clearance assist steps don't help much in getting into the cab in terms of how high one has to step up. I'd consider something else if the family needs more than just a little help.

I checked out 2 different steps. #1 here:
#2 here: https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/amp-r...lug-n-play-black-76254-01a/_/R-BGQD-76254-01A

Both are pretty pricey, but I need something so my wife can easily get into the truck (and me too).
I'm just not sure how the NY winters will affect them, but I park in the garage all the time and it's not like I'm parked outside in a snowstorm.

Installation is easy except for the wiring, that's pretty involved. I wanted to buy the towing mirrors,

with the money but the steps are more important. You know what they say, happy wife, happy life! 😘

I just can't decide which steps I want. I think the less moving parts, the better. What do you guys think?

I found these as well.

I found these as well.

Those GoRino boards are nice but I'm leaning towards the Aries® - 3.3" ActionTrac™ Retractable Black Running Boards. I just haven't pull the trigger yet. That's a lot of money for running boards and goodbye towing mirrors.

Yep, just ordered the Aries 3.3 ActionTrac running boards, $1900. delivered. ETA is Thursday. I'm going to do the install myself. ;) It's quite involved so wish me luck. My son might stop over to lend a hand or at least I hope so.

Takes 20 minutes to do it by yourself. They have created hangers so you can hang the entire running board and dont have to hold it as you screw the bolts in.

Really, only 20 minutes! You've got to be kidding. In the video, it sure looked like a lot of work, especially the wiring. Well, we'll see on the weekend.

I think he was talking about the high clearance steps taking 20 min. Poopster, if you have time, try to take pictures as you progress and maybe start your own post on the install. I'm also very interested in these Aries steps. Good luck on the install

Going to try to start the install today. I'll take some pictures as I go.
