Next mods on your list?

This is the first mod after mudflaps, before the undercarriage gets all mudded up.

If a person drives pivot tracks or drives trail roads it's a necessity to keep the wheels from jerking the steering wheel out of your hand...

I guess you need it more chasing all those moos in your pastures :D . I'll look under my truck if it has those links; having driven through some pretty rough and bumpy gravel trails in BC this summer, the steering on my truck felt solid, even permitting a little drifting on downhill corners when temptations run high :)

The good news is the center drag link still has the hole for the shock! 😁

I don't know what 24Titanium used for a shock, but the Bilsteins are not recommended due to it always trying to extend, being a gas shock.

It is a night a day difference in the steering feel.
Which one do you use?

Need to take a look if this can be installed in my truck.

My money is on yes. gm isn't going to change that center drag link until the mold is broken! 😁 You'll be impressed with the lack bump steer, with those mickey's.

You have me sold on these for sure; I still need to take a peek this afternoon to check if the center drag link actually exists.

The center drag link is there. You just need to see if'n there is an empty hole next to the idler arm hole...

I went with this one. 🤷

I bought one as I ride on some rough roads for work duties. Some gravel, some dirt, some mixed. All trashed. My wheel jerks back and forth like crazy, especially hauling or towing heavy. Calms it down and smooths it out quite a bit. I also ride/race motorcycles. A steering damper is my first mod if not equipped. Had a crazy tank slapper at 65mph when I was 22. Since then... I damper!

I'll get a new video, post install at the same area.

Thanks for the info, you're always a great help. I'd pop in to see you but you are over a 24hr ride from me.

If'n your ever on I80 in central Nebraska, you better! I'm 5 miles south of I80 with an exit ramp.

When your traveling on smooth straight roads do you find your truck wanting to drift left? Like when you let go of the wheel? Supposedly the gas shock tries to extend, making the steering turn. I don't have any experience with a gas shock. I installed dual shocks, opposing one another on my '95 with a 6" lift.

Back in the day, there was a kit for ford that had dual shocks stacked on top of each other.

Bump steer is a thing! Don't know why gm eliminated them. Well, yes I do, just like eliminating the 12v socket. Cheap asses!

Haha, I understand your theory as it does extend in hand after pushing it in, but installed it doesn't have the pressure to move the wheel. I've cycled it back and forth to every degree and let go, with zero movement or feedback in the wheel.

Bump steer is definitely a thing, albeit less noticeable on a IFS vehicle. There is also an area on i95 that is a pretty good curve with bad joints. I hit that baby and I'm all over the lane with bump steer. I am sure some new shocks will also help there. Still deciding on what level kit and shocks I want. Most likely I'll be trying Bilstein and Fox so see which one works best for me.

Need to take a look if this can be installed in my truck.
I drove the truck over some really undulating pavement yesterday and although not disconcerting, I noticed some steering feedback which could benefit from a stabilizer; still hav'nt checked for an empty hole yet.
