Link appears to be dead or they’re not selling these anymore? Anyone know where to get them?
Looks like they may have taken the product down. You may want to email them to see.Link appears to be dead or they’re not selling these anymore? Anyone know where to get them?
Just spoke to Overland Defense, and production will be started back up after Oct. So on Oct or after, keep your eyes out for them to come back up on their website.Link appears to be dead or they’re not selling these anymore? Anyone know where to get them?
How did you route the wiring?New product from Overland Defense. Their Fog light mounts for the GMC Sierra 1500 AT4x AEV front bumper. First impressions are good. Mounts are well made, and appear very durable considering they are 3D printed. These mounts fit up nicely in the bumper and are very secure. The Baja Design lights fit flush and securely in the mounts with no play. So far I am very impressed as there are not much after marked lighting options for the AEV bumper yet, but loads of products for Ford, RAM, Toyota, etc. Once i have more time with the product I will report back on durability and fitment. From the lights, through the front bumper and up behind the passanger headlight. Then to my AuxBeam switch panel. How did you route the wiring?
I received mine today. They are shipping again!!!
I did yes. I wrapped the wires in wire loom for extra protection, then used plenty of zip ties to secure everything in place.Did you snake it thru the bumper.
Very cool. Yeah I just have them wired up on my switch panel. I only use them for off roading, or bad weather " heavy rain storms, heavy snow storms". My factory fog lights have been upgraded to Diode Dynamics lights that I use at night. They throw far more light then the factory OEM fogs.Cool. I’ll dig into that in the am. I had a harness made like the one for the AEV Baja quads in the rear bumper. Had Gen5DIY make one for me that turned those on as extra backup lights.
Had them make one for these new fronts to work as extra fog lights and work just like the OE fog lights.
EDIT OF ENTIRE POST:Didn't get the mounts and lights installed in the time I set aside today. I tried installing with the cooling fins on top. The fins interfered with the bracket behind. Flipped the lights in the mount so the fins are the bottom, That seemed to work, Now I have to flip the lens and face so the Baja Designs text is not upside down and spread beam part of the lens is on the bottom. I did not see anything about this on the vendor site or previously mentioned. Makes a difference if you have a combo fog/driving light.
I did notice the AEV Textured black is not an exact match to the bumper.
Also, do you think painting them is worth it, or does that become a future maintenance item? I guess I’ll decide when I get them. They are a really nice addition. This is exactly what I know a lot of us were looking for especially when we can all see the after market support for the Fords, Toyota's, Ram's, etc. Mine have been awesome since installing them last Feb.These couldn’t have been easier to put on. Based on the light pattern on my garage wall, I’m probably going to have to use some spacers to aim them up a little bit. Looks like they’re shining just below the OEM fog lights. I think these are gonna be fantastic for additional low beam light and fog light.
And it is my opinion that the color is so close to the OEM bumper that I’m not gonna bother painting them. That to me just seems like it’s gonna turn into a maintenance headache.
