New 2024 AT4X owner. Scared 😳 Now 😢

I think someone mentioned it earlier in this thread but folks that have problems tend to be the loudest (for good reason). As such, I echo the others.....take it with a grain of salt and enjoy the truck. I switched from a Denali with the Baby Max to an AT4X about a year and a half ago and don't regret it for second. Knock on wood but its been fantastic....and fun!

Sold my 22.5 Silverado with the 6.2 with 50k on it. I wouldn’t say I abused it daily, but I drove it like a race truck and it never skipped a beat. Think the guy that bought it has almost 60k on it now and it’s still rippin. Drive it, enjoy it, and don’t worry about it!

Welcome, I share those same fears as well although so far no major issues.

Start with this though and have the dealer confirm you're not on that list:

You know, the odds are long but if you have a problem the lemon law (warranty act) is there. Used to be a booklet with the vehicle, but now just look it up. Takes some effort but will make you whole (buy back or replacement vehicle) less miles used prior to first incident. One major reason to buy new not used. Remember GM ultimately wants you in the brand.

Bigger issue I see is a lack of qualified technicians and massive line if recalls ahead, means vehicles sit and wait.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has came across a tuner like the Pulsar for the 2023 - 2025 AT4 1500?

Just purchased a black 2024 AT4X AEV. 6.2. Idk if I should be excited or worried. 😟 I see a lot of people on here having horrible experiences with the 6.2 blowing up as well as transmission problems after the 60k warranty.

I wish I had found this forum before hand. Are my fears after reading all these post justified or can I relax a bit. This was a huge expensive purchase for me. Worked a lot of firefighter/paramedic overtime in order to own this truck. It’s my first time owning a truck. I have loved the AT4X since I have seen it but now I’m scared 😱 I spent all that money on something that’s going to break down, blow up, not be reliable, and not last.

I’m also about to drop a shit ton of money on Borla exhaust, cold air intake, rock lights, window tint, paint protection film, ceramic coating, etc. However, after reading these stories have me wanting to cancel all of that and sell the truck immediately before it breaks. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
Sunk cost now, get a good extended warranty, albeit expensive, and enjoy the ride.

I also got an 8 year 100,000 mile extended bumper to bumper warranty from a CT GM dealer with 0$ deductible for 2000$.

I will have to try running mine in L9 for everyday driving. I also dislike the auto start stop function. First thing I turn off ad soon as I get in. I was really hoping Pulsar would come out with an update but i definitely have seen the work around was running it in L9. I will have to try it out and can’t beat saving the internals from wearing out. I appreciate the tips 🙏🏽
I picked up one of these and don’t have to worry about the L9 and start/stop. No complaints at all

Get off the internet and stop reading the constant stream of bad news. Go outside and enjoy your truck.

Use the best fluids and maintain your vehicle. There’s WAY more trucks racking up trouble free miles than having issues.

I get being anxious about it. Especially when it’s a major investment. Toyota and Dodge are being recalled as well for major issues.

It’s going to be like this for a long time as the world struggles with the competency crisis. People are being hired to do jobs not because they are qualified, but because they help companies meet DEI quotas.

The good thing is that there are lots of very competent people still out there doing great things. Worry about what you can control.

Don’t overextend yourself financially just for your truck. If you’re working like crazy to buy the truck, don’t be in a rush to spend thousands of dollars for modifications. Don’t put yourself in a position where your stuff owns you and your peace of mind. Life sucks when you live like that.

Someone might run a stop sign and destroy your truck tomorrow. And all that money you spent will be gone like a fart in the wind.
