A few more interesting pics
I found this on that Prada shop.
Made it out of the park. Wow that place is big! I know Rhode Island is small but Big Bend NP is bigger. Lots of backcountry offroad trails and camping. Some of the most hostile landscape I’ve ever seen. I didn’t see any unusual wildlife but I did have a couple wild horses clip-clop through my camp around midnight.
I woke up around 0430 and peeked outside and was treated to a spectacular view of the sky.
I found a Mexican dude who gave me a ride in his canoe across the Rio Grande to go to a little Mexican village for $5. The sob wanted $10 to smuggle me back to the US side(jk I made that last part up lol). But seriously, no Customs, Border Patrol or nothing. Guess I’m an illegal now. I didn’t take any pics because I didn’t want any evidence and if it ever comes down to it, it’s just a story I made up
Anyways, hope I’m not boring everyone. I’m having a great time and tickled that some of you are following along my solo adventures. Here’s a few of my favorite pics…

Keep them coming. Your last pic reminds me of the night sky while travelling through Afghanistan desert back in 1978.

And 2008 when i was vacationing there.
Today consist of driving from Amistad National Rec Area to McCallan TX to meet with some friends. This will take me through Eagle Pass TX, a place made famous by the recent standoff between the United States Government and the state of Texas over illegal border crossings. I’m not making any political statement nor am I encouraging others to. Just stating a fact.
I will most likely pause my adventures to spend time with friends and prepare for the Starship 7 launch and to wait out the cold weather. Nobody wants to walk the beach in a parka and long-johns.
My friends booked a spot on a boat to watch the launch from, not sure how I feel about that.
From there I will work my way up the coast to my home away from home, Morgan City LA

Went down to the launch site today. Nasty weather. Stacking has been delayed until tomorrow and launch delayed until Monday
