I was looking into trading for an HD and drove the AT4X HD and the AT4 HD back to back to compare the ride with and without the DSSVs and frankly I could not tell the difference. This was down both smooth and expansion joint rough roads. Maybe they are better off-road?

There would effectively be no difference on a paved road. You'd need at least a bumpy dirt road to begin to tell.

I have an AT4HD and live on a bumpy dirt road. I've never driven the AT4x, but my AT4HD with stock shocks feels nearly as smooth as my 2022 stock tundra limited.

I own a 2024 AT4X HD and I can confirm the DSSV's are nothing special off-road. Buy the "X" for the interior and the locker not for the lift and the suspension or you will be disappointed.

Nothing special about them offroad or on. Better than a stock HD buy a mile, but not even close to the aftermarket options. Don't waste the money.
