Blood Moon Superstition Mountain.

It’s triple digit 107F heat at the house so we once again hooked up the travel trailer and headed to 60’s F Jalama in Santa Barbara County, Calif.
Stopped off at the Tesla Oasis for a charge and a Tesla Burrito:

Day one wife slept in so I headed to the beach Slop Chute for a burger. The building starting rumbling &shaking, I looked out the window & next door Space X blasted off at 11:36 AM from its close-by launch area and it blew by overhead.
Awesome experience.
What part of CA are you from that is getting triple digits in Oct?

I was in Corona, Riverside, San Berdo and lake Arrowhead in the mid 80's and don't remember temps like that.

Getting back on the highway crossing 2 eastbound lanes to head West towing no sweat with the trucks amazing towing power but was still a challenge.

Vehicles approaching from over the horizon are approaching way faster than anticipated. I can see how Donald Turnupseed broadsided Dean.

When the booster rocket re-enters the sonic boom is almost window smashing It’s brutal. So colossal it's announced to be ready for it over the PA.

Campground power went out for 3 days so we plugged the trailer into the truck:

Otters just off the beach sleeping in the kelp beds so the tide doesn’t take them out and the Coyotes can’t reach them:

Simi, it was 107F again yesterday according to my Ford Garage Thermometer column of Mercury which over time has proven to be very accurate in the shade.

We live in a Gulch like living under a magnifying glass.

The last of the cool days you mention is when we made the mad dash before the heat paid us another visit and it paid the house another visit and has returned once again still.

When the swamp cooler quits blowing cold and the AC takes over it’s gunna be a scorching spell.

Towing an RV with an EV can be good with charging planning. Pull thru EV that are trailer accessible make it so much nicer.

Wife is a cautious driver and can squeeze more than 540 miles out of a free home solar charge.

I’m too heavy on the throttle and get less.

55 MPH towing can get us an easy 360 miles with 15% reserve charge left.
