I know nothing about trailers (although my daughter has a 28' she extensively uses), but how is your airstream for long distance travel and extended stay use?

Hey Pinebaron. We love the Airstream. Great style and size for the two of us. Easy to tow, easy to maintain. I get about 12 mpg and we limit our pulls to 6 to 8 hours a day. Hover we have made some longer pulls, just try and enjoy the ride. The Airstream quality can’t be beat. It’s our third camper, first airstream. Would definitely buy it again. Long term livability, well, I’m ready to go home after about three weeks no matter where I am or where I’m sleeping. This summer we head out west and just plan on finding a place to park after 3 or 4 weeks and fly home for a few weeks and then go back out on the road.
Any camper needs maintenance and that’s part of the adventure. On the way down to Florida last Saturday the tpms system saved me from a major blowout on the interstate. Needless to say, 4 new tires are now on the rig.
Can’t go wrong buying the best, just like our GMC’s.

Thanks Flipper. This is what I hear from others with trailers/RVs, Three to four weeks appears the most, folk can bear to live and travel in an rv/trailer. Its great if you have a spouse who shares your glamping passion.

We have the 43' Toy Hauler we tow with the DMAX dually but for a lap around the USA we'll buy a Lance 19' and tow it with the wife's AT4.
I'll post a thread on that.
Dually and Toy Hauler too big for tripping.

Amazing country the USA, and you can really settle in and scratch the surface pretty deep with an RV.
We sometime motel it places, but having your trailer is way better for us.

I miss our camping Days!! Our camping days ended when we got a seasonal on a lake, and then bought a house 2/10th of a mile from our campsite.

Photos of our campers/set ups over the years.....lots of modifications to all the campers, from larger wh, to off grid systems, to full independent suspensions.... Now lake house modding lol
