I know nothing about trailers (although my daughter has a 28' she extensively uses), but how is your airstream for long distance travel and extended stay use?2025 HD AT4X AEV pulling my 2023 Airstream 27’ Globetrotter. Added Roam 128 boxes and a Honda 3200 to the Diamondback. BD lights and a RR winch. Headed to Florida now!View attachment 35356
Hey Pinebaron. We love the Airstream. Great style and size for the two of us. Easy to tow, easy to maintain. I get about 12 mpg and we limit our pulls to 6 to 8 hours a day. Hover we have made some longer pulls, just try and enjoy the ride. The Airstream quality can’t be beat. It’s our third camper, first airstream. Would definitely buy it again. Long term livability, well, I’m ready to go home after about three weeks no matter where I am or where I’m sleeping. This summer we head out west and just plan on finding a place to park after 3 or 4 weeks and fly home for a few weeks and then go back out on the road.I know nothing about trailers (although my daughter has a 28' she extensively uses), but how is your airstream for long distance travel and extended stay use?
Thanks Flipper. This is what I hear from others with trailers/RVs, Three to four weeks appears the most, folk can bear to live and travel in an rv/trailer. Its great if you have a spouse who shares your glamping passion.Hey Pinebaron. We love the Airstream. Great style and size for the two of us. Easy to tow, easy to maintain. Any camper needs maintenance and that’s part of the adventure. On the way down to Florida last Saturday the tpms system saved me from a major blowout on the interstate. Needless to say, 4 new tires are now on the rig.
Can’t go wrong buying the best, just like our GMC’s.
