What's new

Let's see those AT4 HD trucks towing!

Doing a giant commercial roof project. Current roof was covered with rock. 2" river rock I believe. Filled (4) 30 yd dumpsters already, so decided to take a few loads for my house. I love towing even more now that I have this baby! Can't wait to wash this thing though! Also had some fun out in the fields!

I used to tow with a Tundra TRD Pro which was downright dangerous. People who think those trucks tow well must have no senses for vehicle stability. My '24 2500 AT4 is a different world. That thing tows so well, I forgot I had 12,000 lbs (way more than I ever towed with the Tundra) back there and nearly ripped through a McDonald's drive-thru. That was a holy f moment for sure... The only thing that stopped me was when I used the turn signal to get into the drive thru lane and the turn-side camera came up on the display. I have never had a truck before this one that towed so well I forgot I was towing.
I had a 2019 Pro that I used to tow with, it did ok pulling the same setup I have now (13k lbs) except downhill. I had a nice air bag and hitch setup though. Mpg in the Tundra was like 5 and it definitely was not ideal by any means.

The GMC 2500 is so amazing to tow with, i never even felt the trailer.

2024 2500HD AT4 6.6 Gas. Trailer is 16 Box with 2022 Can Am XRS Turbo RR 2 seater. Last trip was from home in Orange County to Gold Butte Road, almost 2 hrs north of Vegas. For MPG, I have checked my own calculations and they are spot on with what the truck says. I filled up on the way home at Valley of Fire exit...from that point to home was 10.4 mpg. For the total round trip talley, 10.0 mpg. Not bad.

Not bad at all while towing! Great looking truck, trailer, and I imagine the XRS looks damn good too! Fun little "go-carts!"

Great info. I have same truck, same color on order and hoping to do some long range towing with a Jeep on a trailer. Nice to get that range with the large fuel tank.

Haha I remembered that 36 gallon tank today when filling up from 20 miles range! I go through 2 - 3 tanks per week, but never from that low.

Hooking up last fall, then 2 from Daytona 500 infield in February.
