No rubbing, trimming, or cutting. Tires are great rides good and little - no noise compared to stockers
hey brother, im new to the forums. just curious, what is your motivation to go from a TRX to an AT4x?Hey @adeerchaser , I was looking through the forum and found you lowered the back end of the truck. This is exactly what I was going to do, but I was just going to remove the blocks like I have with previous trucks. You mentioned you flipped the blocks to get it lower. What do you mean by flipping them? Was there a reason why you didn't want to just remove the block?
Sorry I tried to PM you but I don't have enough post.
PS I don't have a truck yet, I am still debating on getting one. I currently have a ram TRX, and it's hard to want to let that go for an At4x.
Thanks.
Hey man! I am still on the fence here because I LOVE the truck. But this is what my situation is :hey brother, im new to the forums. just curious, what is your motivation to go from a TRX to an AT4x?
I hear ya. ive actually been considering getting a TRX for my AT4x but your points make alot of sense.Hey man! I am still on the fence here because I LOVE the truck. But this is what my situation is :
I bought new in 21, and have had the truck for 2 years. I also have a race truck, to fix my go fast needs.
- I am bored with it. I have done mods to make it quicker, but I am still bored.
- It gets a lot of attention, almost every time I get gas, someone has to come take a look, people try to race me all the time as well.
- I started taking more road trips with the family, truck does great, except the seats are stiff and MPG sucks. ( I get 10 mpg around town and 13 mpg highway, 14mpg if I keep it below 70 MPH which is pretty hard to do in my area)
- It is insanely easy to steal, so taking it on road trips, It kills me having to park it out in public. It takes seconds to steal these things
- Lack of support from Ram and dealers is awful in my area (I haven't had major issues, but with some minor recalls, I can't get the dealers to stand behind anything) Another example was the hotspot stopped working for everyone. Basically, there was an issue between AT&T and Fiat. It took over a year to AT&T to finally support the hotspot again, but you have to go to a dealer to have a special update done. Some dealers are charging for the update. And with my local dealer, they have me on a 6+ month waitlist lol
- I hate how the hvac controls are built into the infotainment, i want buttons and knobs to use, to quickly change things on the fly.
Yea x2 on taking this off thread, but we can't PM lol.I hear ya. ive actually been considering getting a TRX for my AT4x but your points make alot of sense.
what you mean by they are easy to steal?
sorry to take the thread off track.
if keep my AT4x I want to be able to fit 35's. Ive read you can with a R/C level kit and upgraded upper control arms.
By flipping it did you put it under the axle or on top of the leaf spring?Good luck in your decision, but I must say my AT4x is prolly my favorite truck. Anyway, I flipped it because it made the U-bolts still work in length. By removing them I would have had to buy shorter U-bolts and stored the blocks some where in case I wanted to put um back to sell it. This way it is all still there. Happy to answer any other questions for ya.
Thank you sir! That’s what I figured and ended up going with my intuition yesterday.View attachment 4626View attachment 4627View attachment 4628View attachment 4629
Here ya go, the block now just sits on top, doing nothing but takin up slack in u-bolts. And I know where they are if I wanna put um back in.
Very happy with it so far. Might need to swap out some shorter shocks depending on how it tows my boat but Eventually I’ll up the tire size as well when these need replacing.Looks Great! Hope you as happy with stance as I am.
No problem with my ready lift level. Works as it should .I get your point. I do like the interior of my truck alot better than the Ram. Massaging seats are great on long road trips. the 6.2L has pretty good punch, but yeah compared to a TRX any truck (aside from a raptor R) is going to feel slow.
back on the tread subject, lol. anyone with a leveling kit experience any issues with their lane keep assist or smart cruise control?
Bummer looks like i might need a 1 inch block! It just about hits the bump stop and look like it’s squating.Looks Great! Hope you as happy with stance as I am.
