Issue while replacing fender lights

I used Diode Dynamics side marker lights and am very happy with them. They fit perfect. Maybe get your money back and try these.

What a pain. That sucks. Just an option if they don’t make it right and take care of you. I tinted mine with film. I actually didn’t want to loose the stock gmc on the lenses. Did them over a year ago and no issues. Super cheap and don’t have to remove the flairs and replace clips.

I have wanted to swap out the side marker lights to smoked version but just have not done it yet. I dont care about the GMC there but sounds like this was much easier. How did you get it tucked in to the seams and make it look good?

No pain no gain! Get the real deal. Boost Auto fender lights here, were not cheap, installation was a pain yes, had spare fender pins ready. Fronts were easy, rears were much harder. But it was done

I had great luck with Amazon version. Almost a year old and still shining bright. Saved hundreds I believe.

Clean the lenses with alcohol, cut tint larger than lense and place over lense. Smooth out using tint squeege. Warm with heat gun lightly then use tint tool (plastic tool with small wedge shaped head) to push tint fully around all edges. Trim off excess tint deep in the gap between lense and fender plastic. Then a final pass with the heat gun. Took about 5 minutes per light. For $10 I thought I would give it a try and then do replacement lenses if I was not happy with the result, but it looks great, holds up great and no way to tell it isn’t OEM just by looking at it.

I'll grab a photo tomorrow and post. I will say that I'm not at all happy with the customer service at Recon. I reached out to them regarding manufacturing issues with the roof marker lights. They straight ghosted me. I tried every means of contact and no responses. That said, I like the side marker lights from Recon a lot more than the Boost lights personally. I like that Recon lights fill out the entire fixture whereas the Boost lights are only a small section in the middle of the fixture. Then again, I'm sure they have better customer service so there's that.

Zero issues with Boost. Quality and service are important.

Great. From my research it seems like options are (from least expensive to most):
1. Tint film over stock lens
2. Gempro LED Side Marker from Amazon
3. Go with Boost if you want the lens to be smoked and similar lighting to stock
4. Go with Recon or Diode Dynamics if you want the lens smoked and the entire lens to light up

Please provide pictures at night. Those look pretty good in the Amazon display but how are they in real life?
