Invisible trailer camera

It’s been a while but managed to complete this project today with all the components above.

Some tips and what worked for me
* don’t install the camera upside down (ask me how I know!)
* don’t scratch the camera lens (don’t ask me how I know)
* do crimp the ends as per this video to get a good connection.
* my RV has a rear outdoor kitchen so I simply zip tied the cable to the propane line
* our Trailer has a rear ladder which I can see on the camera but it didn’t stop the truck calibrating.

* the 3D printed mount from eBay was expecting a right angle connector my cable was straight, it was just a 5 min job with a drill and knife to make it fit
* buy a shorter roll of that 3M tape I only used about 6 inches!

Hope that helps
Awesome update.
That camera cable looks like it might need to be protected with a plastic wire loom

No pics, but we did this. Let me provide 2 thoughts:
1. We had the Furrion wireless unit before this. The image from the wired GMC camera is SOOOOO much better. It was worth all of the effort.
2. I absolutely love not have an additional screen to look at/connect. The trailer views (3 cam or single) are great. Having them appear on the factory display instead of a separate box with more wires/etc. makes towing that much simpler.

Glad it worked for you. I agree it’s way better than the Furrion.
I’d love to see GMC have it display on the rear view mirror, that would be outstanding as the mirror is useless while towing.
