Interior rattles driving me INSANE!

I went to another dealer today as they have an AT4 with Thurderstorm Gray 6.2. It too has the spoky/ spotted look at the crome on the top by the hood. I think this is how they are. My local body guy thinks its a defect but I am not agreeing now as alot of you have this smoked top grill look. Thanks everyone.
All of them are like that. It’s just the look.

Anyone else having problems with interior rattles? I have 3000 miles on my 24 AT4X and the rattles started the day I drove it home. Drivers door, passenger front door, somewhere up by the sunroof, back seat somewhere and now they are telling me the entire dash has to come out because of a rattle somewhere in the steering column.

I’m not a happy camper because I have even more rattles when I turn the radio up to mask the other rattles.

Tell me I’m not the only one.
I have a new AT4 with a rattle under the steering column area. Hear it with city driving slower. Going in Friday and hopfully they fix it. You are not the only one.

Me too.

I have a '24 2500 AT4 that has a few random rattles as well. The one that irritates me above all else is a seemingly random thud sound from the rear driver's side passenger area. The first time I heard it, it sounded like an acorn or something dropped on the roof or the bed. But I wasn't under any trees. I didn't think anything of it until that same sound happened again a week or so later. It now happens every few days at random times. It really does piss me off. I only have 2,500 miles on the truck. I'll ask the stealership to look at it in a few months when I take it for an oil change. Not making a special trip for this one.

So I took it to my GMC dealer yesterday and they can't seem to find the rattle from under the steering column. This is complete bull shit on $73K truck and 150 miles on it. The also they could not find the issue with static noise sometimes playing thru the speakers when I'm on the cell phone talking to someone (Blue Tooth Connected). They said its my phone. BS, my phone works great on all other vehicles. I am so frustrated and want to trade the truck in already as the Dealer is not helping me with these 2 issues. Do you think callingGMC would help.? How much would I loose trading it for another new AT4 truck, same exact one at a different dealer?

10-20% hit.

I really think what you're hearing is a servo sound inside the steering column. That is what it sounds like to me. Sounds like my XRT servo when steering. I know these babies are electronically assisted. Maybe have them focus there?

Hey Delawhere! Where in DE are you? I now live in Lincoln University, but moved from DE and still there everyday for work. I'm sure I'll see you around as I'm always noticing these new beasts on the road. They catch my eye more than any truck.

Do you have another dealer you could try? May help to call gmc customer service. Sometimes even taking it back to same dealer helps you might end up with a different tech that finds the issue. You will take a hit trading unless the dealer knows your dissatisfied with the truck and shows you some mercy on your trade.

I took to dealer and they could not find where the noise is coming from. They are having a different tech look at it Wednesday. This new $73k truck sounds like a rattling piece of junk. I am so upset with this situation that I'm ready to trade it in with only 300 miles on it. Can't I force dealer or GMC to get me a new truck ? Any advice would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem. It sounds like it under the steering column. AT4 w/6.2 engine. Have taken two road trips and have 2k miles and that’s when I have noticed it the most.

OMG that is the same sound and problem. The dealer said they now want to rip into the dash because they think it's behind the dash and by firewall. I have 400 miles now. I'm not letting them them rip apart a dash on a new vehicle. This sux and I'm calling GM for options! I already have a case open. Let's stay in touch on what you find out but it sounds exactly the same noise as mine. Thank you for sharing!

I'm actually living in Texas now. I grew up in the Glasgow/Newark area. All of my family still lives there. I'm the lone oddball that left :)
