How many with big brake option?

Only way i could see over heating breaks on a truck would be heavy towing through the mountains, or long trips in stop and go traffic while towing a heavy trailer.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t it be better to upgrade your truck to the 2500/3500 instead of just the brakes?

True, but some tow with what they have. The 1500's setup correctly can hold their own, and are very capable trucks. So i could see upgrading to a better break setup if you tow a lot.

I had the Brembo brakes on my 2016 All Terrain X so I upgraded my 2024 AT4X AEV. I changed out wheels to 20s. Had a guy stop to ask about the brakes at a gas station as he too had a 1500 AEV. Haven't seen another with the Brembos that I can remember.
