Here’s the finished product! Well, actually, I’m not sure it’s ever really finished, so here’s the latest version.
I took the recovery hooks off and initially tried to spray paint them with Rustoleum, but the results weren’t great, so I had them powder-coated instead. I should have done that from the beginning.
For the fascia, I sanded it down and applied several coats of Herculiner. I was very happy with both the product and the results. Time will tell how well it holds up to the elements.
On the rear, there were two pieces of vader chrome trim that were bugging me. I searched online for replacement black parts and found some, but they seemed overpriced. Instead, I took the pieces to a vinyl wrap shop, and they wrapped both for $250.
