@gemarsh: Are claims about dual MAP sensor relocation kit really true? Plus I also noticed a Banks Ram-Air with oiled or dry filter CAI for the 2024 which I have. Worth the spend or just hype? And would the Banks CAI sound louder? (I'd hate that if it does).
From my research the CAI would make the intake sound louder, but not necessarily show any performance gains unless you have the tuning to match it. I’m still on the fence if I want to eventually do this if Banks ever figures out the MAF sensor on the newer L5P. If I did decide to move forward with it, it would definitely be the dry filter as oiled filters clog more easily and can pass that oil through to the MAF sensor. Again, not an expert by any means but this is what I’ve found during my research on them.

The S&B for the 6.6d's doesn't add much underhood noise at all, even though it does eliminate the resonator. There is a whole bunch less restriction going on without that resonator!

I run them for the extra filtration capacity.

On the other hand the CAI for the 3.0d does produce alot of whooshing sound you wouldn't want! 😀

When I was younger, I loved intake and exhaust noise, now I'm much older and own diesels, I prefer no more noise than what came from factory. I do like the idea of a MAP sensor relocation kit if its worth adding.

What claims? Pros or cons?

Yes, the spacer block does keep the sensors out of the soot stream, to keep sensors clean. 😃

Yes, the spacer block allows the intake runner hole to plug up, causing the same issue as a clogged sensor, but harder to clean. ☹️

I guess no Christmas present for the truck :(

Ahhh, c'mon. Get it a couple of soft shackles. Can never have enough of them! 😁
LOL Have enough.

A few weeks ago, while travelling very late at night, my wife and I were at the border crossing entering Canada, a very pretty young CBP officer asked several questions about my truck, year etc, saying how clean and new it looked for a two year old truck, asked if I was a builder and I said no; she then asked me to drop the tail gate, spent a couple of minutes examining, perhaps admiring recovery gear back there, returned to the driver window with a wide grin; my wife said 'my husband is crazy to have all that gear back there' whence the CBP officer remarked 'your husband is prepared for any emergency, just pray he never needs to use the equipment'; my wife smiled and we were on our way. Wife said 'She was just being nosy', heck its their job to be nosy. :D
