Stupid? To some, maybe. Depends on which side of the window you're looking thru.

I enjoyed installing them in 3 trucks. It allowed me to do "mods" that are oem. I just wished they came in backseat bags with a discount, instead of after the fact price gouge.

Simple install. No dealership needed. Slightly overpriced but plug and play install makes it worth it... Looks OEM... Wish GM would just add the $400 to the price of a truck and install them in all 2500/3500

How do upfitter switches connect to say fog lamps on rear bumper or ditch lights back there; still need to pull wires etc. right?

Yes but as far as I understand, it's pretty simple as it's running wiring from the engine bay to the rear bumper. No firewall or cab to deal with.

You do have to run the switched power wire out of the cab.

Not hard, just group the four switched wires to a coat hanger or #12 solid, right back out the same hole the power supply wire enters into the cab.

The switched powers wires are just a foot long stub coming from the upfitter fuse box.

All good! Its something to consider for someone starting from scratch. Too late for me; I designed my own alternative switching which has worked flawlessly.

I've been able to uptain everything but the F- harness #85633439. Everyone says it's back ordered. Will keep working on it, might have to look into making one

Can you share a couple pictures where you mounted the fuse box? I just received my kit and the location where 404 says to mount it looks very tight. Thanks
