GM Performance Exhaust

I started with a muffler delete. But the droning was too much, so now I have a flomaster fx, and it still drones at anything over 65 mph ( which is most of my driving) So I'm still considering going to the touring/GM exhaust because people claim it doesn't drone. But some days I wish I had left it stock. I love it at a cold start or even a stop light and accelerating.....it's just the droning that's killing me. I'm finding it just forces me to smash the skinny pedal so it sounds better, but it's not helping my fuel economy :)

I hear ya man . Corsa claims they have the least drone issue but i think depends which corsa you go with . Corsa extreme is best sounding and ofcourse loudest, but theres also a corsa sport where it’s not as aggressive . For fuel economy, uhhmmm, who really buys any kind of truck for good fuel milage

After watching about half a dozen videos, I think the Borla ATAK is the best sounding exhaust overall (in my opinion of course). But there are two things I can’t get over:
1) the S-Type is about $400 cheaper than the ATAK.
2) My truck is that Red Quartz color (I think that’s the official color name), and it looks best with chrome exhaust. I want the two, dual exhaust tips that Borla makes for their exhaust systems, because quad tips on our trucks are just sick looking. The S-Type does come with chrome dual tips, but the ATAK only has the black carbon fiber tips. Or at least that’s what Summit has in stock right now. Decisions, decisions…

Shhhh......I told my wife I needed the 6.2L because it was the only way to get the 10 speed....which we all know makes these very fuel efficient ;) ;) ;)

Oh absolutely. Every other engine has the gas guzzler transmission. And you can’t get the diesel because diesel is more expensive at the pump (not to mention it’s the fuel of Satan (according to Jeremy Clarkson lol).

I am also curious about this. I have the satin steel metallic 6.2 with the chrome exhaust tips and would like to keep them if can be without going to the 4 tips. Does anyone know if GM keeps the chrome "duals" for the Touring exhaust?

Yeah you can buy the Borla exhaust kits without the tips, and run then the stock tips. The Borla Touring exhaust kit part number you want is BOR-140771. Summit Racing doesn’t have one in stock right now (at least the one in Arlington, TX doesn’t), but that doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t.
