Diode dynamics SSC1 LED Fog Light Kit for 2022-2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X

I do not have the wire connected to the drl to have the backlight function. Is that required? I thought that was optional.
I don't have mine connected either and mine are working just fine. Was just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks to try and help resolve your issue. I'm not sure why other then the boost auto mod for the fogs that would be causing this. I would try and remove the boost auto mod to see if that helps.

I disconnected the boost auto mod and they seem to be working when I turn them on and off. It must be the mod that is causing issues. I have to assume it’s due to the wattage difference between the old and new lights. I’m going to do some research to see if there’s something I can wire into that mod which is basically a diode from what I understand. I think I remember reading about resistors and/or capacitors that fix issues if it’s pulling too much wattage or voltage. So all in all they work but I’d really like them to come on with my headlights like my old ones.

It's a little bit of work but you can put them on a relay. That may resolve your issue.

It may trick the BCM and also keep the boost mod working.

I have my lower spot lights on a dedicated relay and used the power wire for the fogs as a "trigger" for the relay.

In other words, I tied the lower 4" yellow spot lights into my fog lights so they come on at the same time. I currently have them facing backwards because I'm too lazy to remove them entirely. (They throw way too much scatter and I don't want to be "that guy" blinding oncoming drivers)

As you've seen in my posts in other threads, I have powerful Diode Dynamics SS3 SAE Yellow Pro
fog lamps already installed in front bumper; they are bright. Power (watts): Main Beam: 36W, Backlight: 0.4, 5,220 lumens, they light up curb and front wonderfully well.
I'm just toying with the idea of something better than SSC1 kit in OEM fog lamp space. I'm in no hurry.

Pine, what lights do you have over the factory fog lights?
