I swore I'd never tow a Toy Hauler from So Cal to Idaho / So Dakota areas again.
New truck severe break downs, new trailer brake failure or broken trailer suspension issues, we did ok this time.
Sacrificed the potential for disaster for the grand kids.
We try and buy fuel at busy stations if possible and we if we fit.
The cheap-o, slow business fuel stations is where we've encountered contaminated fuel. Usually 76.
All kinds of code-throwing some related to the bad fuel, some codes make no sense but obviously triggered by the bad fuel, engine runs hot, loss of performance.
More and more truck stops stations now allow Credit Card purchase at the diesel pump. Otherwise have to go in and stand in line while the people ahead of me buy Lottery tickets and scratchers, have an issue with their paper work and or some sorta payment issues. Pre charge the C card for $200, and it'll only charge us for fuel dispensed.
Like Mexico, only eat at the busy restaurants with lots of trash cans. In the USA, only buy Diesel at the busy fuel stations with lots of pumps.
